Dear Evan Hansen - @centerpointtheatre

To say this is a dream come true is an understatement.

I have loved every second of this show and the people that I got to tell this story with are truly amazing.

I first listened to the soundtrack of this musical in middle school and I sobbed because I felt like the world was better off without me just like Evan. I’ve dealt with suicidal ideation much longer than I’d like to admit. Everything just felt so big, and I felt small enough that no one would even notice if I was gone.

A couple of years ago I was in the worst time of my life. Just how things played out, and it sucked. I didn’t want to be here anymore. I was surrounded by those who loved me and I couldn’t even see it through the fog of depression. Looking back I know I wouldn’t be here without those who showed up for me each and every day, just like Evan with his mom, Heidi, as she worked so hard to take care of him, and like Evan I couldn’t see it because everything felt so heavy. That’s why So Big/So Small means so much to me (love you mom). The people who made me food, dragged me to an escape room, sat in a room with me while I refused to talk, and so much more (you guys know who you are). I couldn’t have made it here without you, and I hope you got to see how much I love and appreciate you when you watched this show. My performances were for you guys. For making sure I stayed. Thank you.

Please reach out to those you love, and if you need help don’t be afraid to ask for it. You are loved, even if it doesn’t feel like it.

"Feels like we could go on for forever this way..."

Closing night, and it still doesn't feel real that I got to be Heidi Hansen. Pinching myself that I got to play such a meaningful role in a show that speaks to the hearts of so many, surrounded by incredible artists and storytellers every step of the way. From the audition process onward, this show was a lesson for me in being scared and doing it anyway. I'm grateful to everyone who pushed me to get out of my own way and try. And I'm so grateful to this cast and team, for all the group hugs, the vocal stims, the tomfoolery and the tears, and the way these two casts of 14 humans each treated one another like family.
These people inspired me and made this experience the beautiful adventure that it was, ESPECIALLY my Evan. @max_sperry17 you led our cast with grace and played this beast of a role with so much heart. It has been an honor to be your fake Mom.

To the team who put this beautiful show together and never let us doubt their belief in us, THANK YOU for everything. This was a dream. To everyone that came to support this show, I can't thank you enough. And to the cast and crew of Dear Evan Hansen, I love you all. No matter what. 🩵

When I'm approaching the end of an experience, I tend to get really nostalgic about the beginning. This show took me completely by surprise this summer/fall, and I'm so so grateful that I was given the chance to live in this story with these incredible humans (and one gd dinosaur).

I approached this show with a lot of fear, and I'm leaving it - not quite YET, but soon - with so much love instead, for the show and these people. And that is the BEST way to be proven wrong. 🩵

Dear Evan Hansen opens in a WEEK!

I am in the TThS cast, with two scheduled 3:30 matinees on 9/19 and 9/26 (more may be added). And if you can't make it to one of my shows, both casts are honestly incredible and tell this story so beautifully, so come see it either way!

If you ARE able to see it, please be mindful that the material addresses heavy topics. We are trying to handle the story with care and awareness, but it would be a good idea to do some research on this show before seeing it if you are unfamiliar with the plot. That said, I love this show and these people and I hope everyone who wants to gets the chance to see it. 🩵

It feels disingenuous to post a highlight reel of 2025 bc honestly 80% was absolutely horrendible for me. BUT! December was a blur and a DELIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
