F.Y.P. plays "Come Home Smelly" live in Corona in 2000. F.Y.P. started as a one-man punk rock project in 1989 before expanding into a full band. While F.Y.P. originally called it quits at the turn of the century, there have been a number of reunion shows since. #recessrecords #punkrock #socalpunk #skatepunk #90spunk @fyp_5yearplan @recessrecords

Recess Romp 5 ✨

#fromtheperspectiveofpluto
Please enjoy my random selection of poor quality videos 😅 I’m often not paying attention to what I’m actually filming, usually I’m watching with my eyes and checking back now and then, and sometimes I don’t have the greatest vantage point, but I like to collect memories all the same✨

Hope to see you all again next year 🥰💛 that was my first romp, but I don’t suspect it will be my last 🤘

Videos = The Arrrivals/ Clown Sounds/ Shellshag/ Middle Aged Queers x 2/ Toys That Kill/ Scared of Chaka/ FYP/ The Fleshies/ The Bananas/ Underground Railroad to Candyland 🍭

The fortune teller said that I would be surrounded by wonderful people and have the best time at Recess Romp. She was right! Thank you @recessrecords and @sardinepedro for being the best! San Pedro is a place I always feel at home and I never want to leave. I can’t wait to go back.

#recessromp gratitude post. Where do we start?

Thanks to all the Berzerkies who sweat, danced and sang along with us in San Pedro this past weekend or watched on the livestream thanks to @therecordium ! And a huge thank you to Todd C for continuing to make our teenage dreams come true. @official7seconds one year and @alice_bag the next is insanity! Literal bucket list ✔️

Seeing our favorite bands never gets old, @dillingerfour crushed! @scaredofchakaofficial destroyed (twice!) , The Bananas and Toys That Kill were amazing, FYP, MAQ and URTC brought the house down. So many amazing bands... too many to name. But for us, this weekend was about Alice Bag. Sunday was our day.

It was an incredible honor to share a stage with Alice and her band. She is a pillar of American punk rock and a pioneer for females in the genre, having blazed a trail that we all follow. Her performance was ferocious and powerful. We left with feelings of solidarity, inspiration and gratitude. We walked away feeling like this is exactly where we are supposed to be. When Alice howled the chorus of No Means No and the crowd shouted back in response, we were moved to visceral highs and it felt almost out of body like except for the chills keeping us tethered to our actual bodies. In short, Alice Bag was amazing. Once in a lifetime.

Rounding out the big room lineup Sunday were the incredible bands Tommy, Wife and Hellcat! Feminine punk energy on full display. This lineup was stacked! We are already looking forward to more shows with each of these bands.

However, there will be no more shows with The Alice Bag Band. This is her final run of shows and it was the high honor of a lifetime to be a part of it. All that remains before Alice moves on to new artistic endeavours are a pair of shows with the almighty Bikini Kill!

Speaking of BK, a special thank you to Eloise from The Linda Lindas for joining Mandy on vocal duties for our surprise set closer, the Bikini Kill classic "Suck My Left One!" That was so much fun! Tyler drummed, Broc guitar, Yianna on bass.... the old switcheroo! Thanks Olive for singing as well!

This is a weekend we'll never forget.
