154 years of Alpha Phi, and a lifetime of sisterhood 🤍

In 1872, ten women at Syracuse University came together to create a sisterhood built on friendship, support, and the courage to make their own place in higher education. Their vision became the Alpha Phi we are so proud to call home today.

This Founders’ Day, we honor the women who started it all and the generations of sisters who have carried their legacy forward. Here at Gamma Kappa, that legacy lives in every friendship, every shared memory, and every sister who encourages us to grow.

To the women who paved the way and the sisters beside us today—thank you for giving us something so special to belong to. Happy Founders’ Day, Alpha Phi! AOE, today and always 🧸💐

“I didn’t go through formal recruitment, so my journey to Alpha Phi looked a little different. I was a Spring ’24 COB, and I’m genuinely so grateful that I decided to take that chance because it led me to some of my best friends for life. I also got really close with my COB class, which made joining Aphi even more special because we all got to experience it together. Aphi has given me such an amazing group of girls who I can always count on and so many memories that I’ll forever be thankful for. Coming in through COB showed me that there’s no “right” way to find your home, and I truly couldn’t imagine my college experience without Aphi. If you’re thinking about COBing Aphi, I definitely recommend giving it a chanceyou never know, it might lead you to your best friends too! “ - @sam.fernandezz

Our 3017 girls are so excited to welcome you home! ✨ This summer, our house received a beautiful refresh by the talented Tiara Jaye Interiors, led by Tiara—an Alpha Phi alumna from CSULB and luxury interior designer!

Tiara was a house girl during her time at Gamma Kappa! She started her own interior design business and came back to design the house she once lived in🥹⭐️

Our Philanthropy🫀❤️

At Alpha Phi, our philanthropy is centered around supporting women’s heart health through the Alpha Phi Foundation @alphaphifoundation 💖 Since 1956, Alpha Phi has been dedicated to raising awareness, funding research, and supporting educational programs that help improve the prevention, treatment, and understanding of heart disease in women.

This cause is one that our sisters hold close to their hearts. For many of us, women’s heart health is more than just a philanthropy. Many of our members have family members and loved ones who have been affected by heart disease, giving us an even greater passion for raising awareness and making a difference.

Each semester, we come together as a chapter and community for Philanthropy Week, hosting events such as Spot a Phi, Penny Wars, Party Hearty, Spelling Phi, Phi Feud, Mr. Heartthrob, and Phi Ball. These events not only help raise support for our cause, but also spread awareness about the importance of women’s heart health, supporting the Alpha Phi Foundation’s mission of advancing research & education✨

We are incredibly grateful for every person who participates, donates, and supports our philanthropy. Your support allows us to continue making an impact on the lives of women across the country. Together, we can create stronger hearts, stronger women, and a stronger community. ❤️
