If you're interested, we'd love to hook you up with three pieces on the house! Yup, you read that right – absolutely FREE!

Just shoot a DM over to our main account @gnarcy.ambs, and our guy Shawn will sort you out pronto! But hey, don't sleep on it – spots are filling up fast, and we'd hate for you to miss out on the action! Cheers, mate! 🤙

On Friday to Celebrate Literacy Week, Florida! at Oak Ridge we hosted our 10th Annual Literacy Week Book Character Parade.

Grade levels selected books and dressed as characters from the storybooks. The school wide literacy parade is always an amazing way to culminate literacy week!

Grade levels parade down Shelfer Road to celebrate their love for literacy.

Each year we have guest judges to celebrate with us and to judge each grade level costume and theme. We would like to express a heartfelt thank you and appreciation to our guest judges. Thank you to Mrs. Harp, Mrs. Cuyler-Gavin and Mrs. Hewett for serving as guest judges.

Thank you to our outstanding community partners from City of Tallahassee Police Department , FAMU Athletics Cheer Team, Culver’s James S. Rickards High School and their band members and staff for participating in our Literacy Week Book Character Parade.

Thank you to our amazing families, administrators, students and faculty and staff for participating in our Literacy Week parade and our Literacy Week activities. None of this could have been possible without your support. We are grateful for you!

It takes a village to raise a child and we are thankful to have everyone be a part of our amazing village.

Continue to read and we hope that everyone enjoyed celebrating Literacy Week with us!

Wednesday’s Celebrate Literacy Week, Florida! theme at Oak Ridge was “Literacy Opens Up the Door to Limitless Possibilities!”

Students were so amazed to see students from James S. Rickards High School school on campus. Students from Rickards SGA and various students organizations participated as guest readers in every classroom.

Students were able to listen to read alouds as well as ask questions about how the high school students were able to navigate extracurricular activities while excelling academically. Students at Oak Ridge view the Rickards High School students as role models and aspire to be like them as teenagers.

We would like to thank the SGA sponsors from Rickards High School for ensuring that this yearly partnership is successful. Thank you to Mrs. Cooper and Mrs. Madden. We look forward to our continued educational partnership.

Thank you for the donation of books to our school media center.
