It is NOT selfish to BE STINGY!

•

Last week at one of my PUSH Girls Academy sessions, one of the members shared a life lesson that she’s learned which is

“……be STINGY with your TRUST!” 🙌🏾🙌🏾

•

In addition to the thought of being stingy with your trust, I’m gonna add in there to also be stingy with your HEART and your TIME!

•

YESSS, you should be kind, thoughtful, empathetic, and reasonably generous. You can (and should) be those things and put them into practice…..simultaneously WHILE you are also putting being STINGY into practice.

•

Being stingy with your trust, your heart, and your time is your BIRTHRIGHT.
There is a proverb that reminds us to:
“Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.”

•

We guard things that are important and have value to us. Being stingy is in essence guarding and creating boundaries around those things that are valuable.

•

We teach people how to treat us according to how we respond to them. When we allow people to just do as they please and say as they please, and continue to permit access to us with no consequence….they most certainly will continue.

•

But when we learn to put up proper boundaries, we teach them there is a certain order of operation when it comes to handling us, which they must adhere to. If they don’t choose to adhere, then their access to you must be DENIED. #JustMy2Cents
