Gabriel Rivera, a Class of 2027 quarterback out of Fort Meade High School, is a 6’0”, 190-pound field general who stays poised under pressure. He showcases strong pocket presence, reads the field well, throws an accurate deep ball, and consistently delivers on short to intermediate routes.

Today’s QB group session focused on one of the most overlooked parts of quarterback development: deceleration.

This month we’re putting a heavy emphasis on controlling the front hip and front shoulder through the throw. Anybody can chase more power — but elite throwers know how to absorb force, stabilize, and transfer energy efficiently.

You wouldn’t build a Ferrari with go kart brakes.
The same applies to quarterback mechanics.
Power without control leads to inconsistency.
Control creates repeatability, sequencing, and velocity that actually holds up under pressure.

The details matter. There's always a method to the madness, not just random clickbait drills for likes and views 🎯
