THE CREATIVE PROCESS PT.4 w/ GEEONE AND SOUTH LONDON JAZZ ORCHESTRA

🔥🔥🔥🔥

Here’s the final instalment from our series following the creative journey with GeeOne who sliced through the process with his sharp tongue, expertly combining his words with a flowing Big Band arrangement!

GeeOne worked on his music with @sljo_london’s Conductor, Hugo, and alongside the orchestra it was reworked into an epic Big Band arrangement, giving him a unique insight into the arranging process and the chance to perform his own music with a live orchestra.

The outcome is impeccable!!

Once again, MASSIVE SHOUTOUT to SLJO for the opportunity and all the young creatives who joined the journey and always inspiring!

A BIT MORE ABOUT THE PROJECT...

This summer, young creatives from Lewisham Vocal Collective (LVC) and Studio Sessions worked closely with South London Jazz Orchestra (SLJO) to rework and reimagine their original music and covers.

As part of this collaboration, our young people had the opportunity to share and explore their music with SLJO’s Conductor, Hugo, and working alongside the orchestra, their songs were developed into incredible Big Band arrangements, giving them a unique insight into the arranging process and the chance to perform their own music with a live orchestra.

SLJO are a diverse group of talented musicians of all ages. SLJO aims to share their passion for Big Band jazz with the local community while supporting charitable causes through their performances.

MASSIVE SHOUTOUT to SLJO for the opportunity and to all the young creatives who smashed it once again!

THE ‘TAPPED IN’ 1 YEAR BIRTHDAY EVENT 🎉🎶

Almost over a week now since the event, and my heart is still so grateful for everyone who came - ‘Tapped In’ started off as a tiny idea and to see how far the journey has come since that idea is mental ✨

The fact I was getting interviewed by other creatives took me back to the start when I had a mic and went around persisting for interviews 🤣, it reminded me that we need spaces for more young people to thrive and connect with one another 🙏🏽

To everyone who has either been with me since the start or has only started following along recently, I love you all from the bottom of my heart and I can’t wait to show you what I have coming up next 💙
