saying goodbye to mcd xc feels unreal. the lessons i’ve learned and opportunities i’ve had over the last 6 years because of this program are endless, and the memories and friendships i’ve made will last a lifetime. i’m forever thankful for my teammates, coaches, and support system who’ve helped me through all the lows, and made every moment, and mile!!, worth it. i can’t believe i’m saying this, but part of me is sad i’ll never do a coach kapalko track workout again. thank you mcd xc!!!! you will always have a special place in my heart. #spooky #voyage #npa

What a season it’s been! I never thought I would ever run my last cross country race. Cross country has been my favorite sport ever since I started back in 7th grade. When I started, I was racing 2 miles slower than I can run a 5k now. I saw my brother really have some success and improvement in the sport, and loved seeing how hard he worked. He showed me that if you keep working, you will keep getting better. After watching him, I dreamt of going to state and contributing to one of the best teams in Ohio just like him. So to finally say that I achieved this goal is something I can’t put into words. There couldn’t possibly be a better group of guys to grow up with than these ones. I love and appreciate anyone who has ever ran with me, pushed me to be my best, or helped me throughout the years. None of this would be possible without you! I am more excited than ever for track, but for now I’m gonna spend some time to reflect on all of the memories we’ve made these past few months.
