PUERTO RICO 2026!

@gabcoll and I went to PR a few months ago - It was my first time in PR and I absolutely loved it. The people, beaches, food, weather and everything in between was just sublime. I look forward to going back and spending more time there and visiting more places we didn’t get to on this trip.

@sourcempls is a wonderful community outreach in Minneapolis (near the Minneapolis Institute of Arts) that helps nourish families and people in need. We were blessed to spend some time there this morning helping pack food boxes for local pickup. We’ll be back in the coming weeks to help with deliveries and going forward.

Let us know if you feel called to join us in serving our community 🙏🏼❤️

Is to late for a November photo recap?! I think not ☺️

Listen! All the money made during stackbtober was definitely and happily spent in November. This recap doesn’t fully cover all the things I did in November. I had the best time and I got to spend time with my loved ones. Time well spent and memories I’ll cherish forever. I’m so grateful for the opportunities, blessings, and God grace that was and continues to be sufficient in my life.

Visual Artists! 🎯

The @warholfoundation is one of the strongest bastions of funding for the visual arts in the United States, and while you can't apply directly to the foundation without a 501c3 status, annually the foundation supports several regional funds through their #regionalregranting program.

These funds are administered by a local arts nonprofit and are all unique, but most share a focus on public-facing, interdisciplinary work centering the visual arts! Here are four of the many funds with approaching deadlines!

▪ Tennessee: Current Art Fund - @tristar_arts - due Aug 31
▪ Providence: Interlace Fund - @interlacefund - due Sept 14
▪ Minneapolis: Visual Arts Fund - @midwayart - due Sept 27
▪ Buffalo: Kinetic Generator Grant - @bica.buffalo - due Sept 30

Find all of the @warholfoundation regional regrants with updated deadlines on RAR's database via our newsletter! 💌

Repost from 2024 VAF Grantee @gabcoll @burnsomethingcollective “✨Announcing our Art Prints 4 Mutual Aid Cohort✨

We’re thrilled to work with this group of wonderful and impactful artists: Jai Stephenson (@mightbejai), Skye Vang (@minnesoulta), Daniel Arzola (@arzola_d), and Silent Fox (@silentfox.studio).

For the next four months, this cohort will produce new original artworks through the lens of mutual aid and global solidarity movements. Prints of their artworks will be available for sale this summer, and all proceeds will be donated to a mutual aid organization of the artists’ choosing. Stay tuned for more info about this project this summer!”

Lucky.

A year that held many things: heartbreak, skin cancer, cry-laughing with friends, celebrating so much, traveling all over, growth, sitting in all sorts of sad, diving in all sorts of happy, meeting the new babes of my best babes, smiling hard from crushing, dancing in living rooms, and so much more, and so much love — the world has turned a bit this year, and I’m truly lucky for it.

Here’s to the next.

November Recap: Faces, Places and Everything in-between.

In my mind, I was like I didn’t do too much because all I was thinking of was the week and a half of hell when I sick 😭. I thank God for life and health ooh. OMO! Besides that, November was kind of lit ooh. I went to some amazing concerts, ate great food and sipped on a lot of espresso martinis apparently 🤭. I also got to spend quality time with my people. I’m so blessed to have some amazing people in my life - they give me everything and in return they only ask for my time! That’s why I will always hop on that flight and move my schedule around to give them that. It’s the least I can do.

December! Lord give me the strength to finish this year out as best I can. 🙏🏾😇

Can’t believe it has been 5 years.

Through the ups and downs of life, a pandemic, and precarious financial situations—PF Studios has not only held on, it has flourished. Reflecting on the journey of PF Studios this year kinda took me by surprise. FIVE years?! When we started…how could we have known this was possible? I def didn’t. But I trusted in the process. 5 years of collaboration, of friendships, of projects and growth and commitment. It hasn’t always been easy, but it has been a consistent joy and pouring in of energy, that has in turn poured back into me. Gratitude to every single person who has supported this program and shown up for us along the way, and to all the artists within who made it real.

We are celebrating the 5 year anniversary this weekend with the opening of the PF Studios Annual Studio Exhibition. This year, guest curated by the phenomenal artist @produce.work. Join us in @pfunctionary gallery #144 to celebrate the opening of “Your Hands Were Making Artifacts in the Corner of My Mind” on Nov 2nd from 6-10pm. 22 artists in our current cohort sharing their latest work. Upstairs on the same night, in gallery #247, PF studios alumni @noufananah (who is now an MFA candidate at the U!) is opening a solo exhibition of works that is a beautiful honoring of her practice these last couple years.

Also….we been working hard on a book!!?!!
⭐️ We started pre-orders of our 5th anniversary book ON FRIDAY⭐️ Come celebrate with us what started as a dream and transformed into a sustainable model that can be replicated for generations to come—stewarded by the artists within.
