📰 The community @aajaofficial has brought together this week here in Austin, Texas is unmatched.

Thank you to AAJA and @tdwandco for inviting us to be a part of the first ever AAPI Marketplace at the AAJA national convention. It was such an honor to also share the journey of @weareuprisers with so many Asian American journalists that we admire 🥰 and the stories shared with us at our #WeAre1924 pop-up have been such an inspiration.

More than ever we are certain that 1924 STILL matters NOW.

We are very grateful to this community for the work that they do and we look forward to joining future AAJA events!

To everyone who wrote “never change” in my middle school yearbook, I have some devastating news. To everyone who came out last week, thank you! We didn’t expect a crowd like that, but you proved us wrong in the best of ways. Sold out in under 2 hours!

What an awesome, action packed weekend!
We worked with @alaskaair to put together a special Lunar New Year dinner event hosted at @misterjius in SF’s Chinatown.
The dinner event was about celebrating creativity, culture and the changemakers of our community! We had business/community leaders and influencers gather together for dinner to celebrate Lunar New Year and each other.
It was beyond awesome to have Alaska Airlines donate 250,000 miles to @caamedia and @stopaapihate for their work in the community!
Thank you to @brandoj and his wonderful staff for catering (the scallion pancakes and caviar dip are all we’re dreaming about!)

We had the opportunity to watch a screening of it at the Museum of Tolerance with a panel moderated by Scott Feinberg of the Hollywood Reporter and panelists Frank Chi (director), Travon Free and Samir Hernandez (producers), and Jeremy Lin himself.

“38 At The Garden” shares the story of Jeremy Lin’s NBA career journey and the ultimate highlight of the Knicks vs Lakers game in February 2012 where he scored 38 points. However, the short documentary goes beyond basketball. The story inspires and resonates with who have a dream that they’ve been told they cannot achieve. It’s about breaking stereotypes, inspiring multiple generations, and, most important, that nothing is impossible.

Also the poster is the greatest edition to our office 💕
