If an athlete needs to win to earn our attention, are we really supporting sport?

We celebrate medals, trophies and records while often overlooking the years of sacrifice, setbacks and hard work behind them.

I’ve always believed that athletes deserve exposure throughout their journey, not just when they make headlines.

As someone working in sports media and marketing, I believe we have a responsibility to tell these stories and give athletes the recognition they deserve.

Are we truly supporting our athletes or simply celebrating their success?
