Mom watches a lot of war movies, military dramas, and crime shows—like, a lot. I basically have a degree in Criminal Minds at this point.
Usually I just nap through it, but then she finally put something on we could both get into: Megan Leavey.

A marine. Her dog. Real bonding. Real stakes. Real tears (from her… and maybe a soft tail thump from me).

That dog? Deserves an Oscar. And a lifetime supply of treats. I was glued to the screen. She grabbed the tissues. For once, we were both emotionally invested in the same thing.

Honestly, if there’s a dog on screen, I’m locked in. The rest of it? Just background noise for my nap schedule.

P.S. I’d like to thank the Academy for finally making something worth watching.

A sunny spring day well spent in the city. Good food, some time at the MOMA (…I still don’t understand modern art), many hours hanging with my siblings at Jeanps and Frankys place @Revival Bar NYC!

When your father raises you to worship soccer, you celebrate with your favorite people. I lost my voice and barely slept but Argentina beat Brazil 4-1 and we qualified for the WORLD CUP!!! What a f’ing day!!

Eating on the floor at a Pakistani restaurant? Absolutely.

Today is International Women’s Day, so it’s the perfect time to shout out Gabriela, one of the best in our field and someone I’ve been lucky to learn from. We became close friends fast. We help each other try to find flow, whether in work, life, or even bachata 💃🕺🏼. We also usually analyze random things through the lens of workplace culture🤓.

She’s the kind of leader I once aspired to be in the corporate world, and now, her insights help me stay sharp in my coaching. Most of the best leaders I’ve worked for have been women, and Gabriela is no exception.

She’s even starting to get me to see politics differently… but we’re going slow to go fast. 😂🤓

And yes, even bachata has made its way into the firehouse. Overtime at an outstation can be long. 😴

AI is my copywriter, but the uncle and HR jokes are all me.
