Medal Monday 🥇 @districtrunningcollective (D19 - 19k)

Went in with a goal of averaging 6:50/mile and crushed it. 😮‍💨

My body definitely wasn’t on my side that day, but I pushed through and got the job done. Lower back pain and cramping on my right side caused me to walk late in the race.

Accomplishments:
Top 6 finish!!
16-minute course PR!!
7:54/mile → 6:40/mile!!

The work is paying off. This race was a great test to see where I stand heading into the Charlotte Marathon.

Still work to do. Still room to improve. But we’re taking it one step, one mile, one race at a time.

Let’s work! 💪🏿🔥

Big s/o to @daniellehaik_ for the video 🔥

Another Around The Crown 10K in the books and another BIG PR!! 🔥

Worked for this one for sure. The goal was sub-40, and I was right on pace through about mile 4.5… then having no water for the first 5 miles caught up with me FAST 😂 Lesson learned: bring my own hydration.

Still, I’m excited about this finish. Proud of myself and even more proud of the work I’ve been putting in. It’s definitely paying off.

Big shoutout to the guys who continue to push me to another level @thefoundrycor3, @blackmenrun_clt and @tracktuesdaytrials ✊🏿

The PR feels good, but we’re not done yet.

More work to do. 💪🏿🔥

Around the Crown 10K 👑

Yesterday I was on the volunteer side, helping out with the race with ZERO plans of running today.

Then somehow I lucked up on a bib from someone who couldn’t run… and you already know what happened next. 😂

Volunteer yesterday. Runner today. 🏃🏾‍♂️💨

No training plan for this one. No expectations. Just an unexpected 6.2 miles through the Queen City surrounded by familiar faces, different run crews, and some of the best energy Charlotte has to offer.
