Some friendships do not yield to time; they merely wait for the next Spring to bloom again.

Twin notes in a name long cherished beneath the gentle beams of a little country haven built of memory and warmth. Years had wandered on, yet in that soft amber light, they seemed to fold quietly away.
There are places that serve more than supper; they keep stories, laughter, and the tender proof that certain bonds, however long parted, remain wonderfully unchanged.

Capítulo 6: O seu lugar

Pai, no último Natal em que você esteve conosco, houve um instante que hoje se revela como síntese de tudo o que você foi.

Eu filmei. Não por acaso. Algo ali já sabia que aquele momento precisava permanecer.

Minha mãe contava os pratos, os lugares, cuidando para que tudo estivesse certo, como sempre fez. Minha irmã disse, com a convicção simples de quem afirma uma verdade que não se discute: ele tem que sentar onde sempre sentou. E você sentou. Na cabeceira. No seu lugar.

Meu cunhado disse que você ia sentar e puxar o Pai Nosso, como sempre fazia. E então falou, com um carinho cheio de reverência: senta aqui, meu sogro, na sua poltrona master. A poltrona onde você sempre esteve. Onde você organizava o mundo sem precisar dizer nada.

Não era despedida anunciada. Era amor em estado de funcionamento. Era família sustentando, sem saber, a ordem simbólica da vida. Era o cuidado mantendo tudo em pé.
Aquela cena dizia, sem palavras, tudo o que o amor tinha construído ali.

Ali estava você. Inteiro. Presente. Vivo.
Ali estavam a fé, o gesto, a tradição, o pertencimento.
Ali estava o pai, o marido, o avô, o tio, o padrinho, o eixo.

Hoje, no primeiro Natal sem a sua presença física, essa imagem não é apenas memória. Ela é sustentação. Ela mostra que você esteve até o fim exatamente onde sempre esteve: no centro do amor que nos organizou.

É desse lugar que sigo agora agradecendo às pessoas que caminharam com você e conosco.

Meu cunhado @dogomartins guarda tantos momentos maravilhosos vividos com você, memórias feitas de convivência, risadas, respeito e afeto. Obrigada por tanto, cunhado. Você foi o melhor genro que poderia existir. Coisa mais linda de se ver. Guardo gestos seus pelo meu pai num cantinho elevado do meu coração. Pratenses, a ficção é linda, né? Mas o meu chamado é pra realidade!

Quero fazer um convite muito claro e muito responsável.
Neste domingo, dia 14, às 10h, no Calçadão do Bosque, acontece um ato SUPRAPARTIDÁRIO em defesa da democracia.

E eu faço questão de reforçar:
👉 não é ato de partido,
👉 não é de sigla,
👉 não é disputa eleitoral.

É um ato de cidadãos e cidadãs que concordam em algo básico:
a democracia precisa ser respeitada.

Por isso dizemos não ao PL da dosimetria, que reduz penas de pessoas que tentaram romper a ordem democrática.
Não se trata de opinião política — se trata de crime contra a democracia.

Chamar golpismo de patriotismo não muda a realidade.
Atacar instituições não é patriotismo.

A manifestação não resolve tudo sozinha, e é importante dizer isso.
Mas é legítimo, pacífico e democrático que a sociedade se manifeste e deixe claro que não aceita retrocessos.

Sem bandeiras partidárias.
Sem bebida alcoólica.
Com respeito, consciência e compromisso com o futuro.

Esse é um chamado acima de partidos.
É um chamado pela democracia.

We grew up identifying with the villains — those misunderstood women who dared to exist beyond the norm: not princesses, not modest, never “ideal.”
They were intense, strange, extravagant, alive.

The Misfits, from Jem and the Holograms, were painted as antagonists… but what they truly embodied was something deeper — a refusal to belong, a fire too bright for a world that demanded obedient softness.

Their name says it all: The Misfits.
And somehow, that mirror reflects us.

Because to society, we — trans people — are also seen as “misfits,” as those who don’t fit, who trans-gress.
Yet if there’s one thing we’ve learned, it’s that being trans is an act of resistance.
It’s writing and living under our own rules.
It’s living at the margins and still shining in the center.
It’s turning stigma into style, and insult into identity.

Tonight, dressed as The Misfits, we honor our younger selves — those children who once dreamed of being something beautiful, even when the world said they couldn’t.

And we celebrate the power of existing, unapologetically, in our colors, our bodies, our courage.To be trans is to resist as a "misfit". And resistance is to be as free as rock ’n’ roll. 💋⚡🏳️‍⚧️

One quiet night, my brother and I stumbled—unexpectedly—into the folds of time.
There, hidden between shadows and childhood echoes,
we found a place that still breathes —
a small refuge of memory, soft and familiar.

He handed me a little tin.
It could have been just that: a tin.

Today marks exactly five years since I moved with my father and brother to the farm during the pandemic. Over these five years, many events have shaped our lives—from an arson attack that nearly destroyed the farm to my symbolic rebirth after an accident, and also my social rebirth as Gabriella.

But this post is not about me; it is about the relationship of the Ribeiro de Oliveira Costa family with this land, which has so generously welcomed us for six generations.

This place, beyond being magical, holds endless memories of countless beloved people who have passed through here, leaving their mark. At its peak, more than a hundred families lived on Campo Alegre Farm. It was a true village, filled with joy and prosperity.

It all started with my great-great-grandparents. Although they never lived here, two of my great-uncles did, along with their families, at different times. And now, we—of the Costa Mancini branch—are here.

I don't know how long this dreamy, bucolic cycle will last, but may it be eternal while it lasts. I love this place and am grateful to be here, to call this land home—a land that has so lovingly sheltered so many families for so many years. What a privilege!
