TraceFit Method Primal movements are like going back to basics, when cavemen used to crawl, squat, and twist to survive.

By practicing these moves, you can improve your flexibility, core strength, balance, and posture.

Plus, you'll be less likely to hurt yourself when you're out there living your best life like a modern-day caveman (or woman)!

So if youre looking for a fun challenge, get your primal groove on and unleash your inner caveperson with me!

We’re curious…

What do you think or feel makes a mover/dancer “impressive”?

Which also then asks the question: what does “impressive” mean?

Hmmm 🤔

We have our thoughts. Let us know your thoughts in the comments 📝

TraceFit Aqua is a unique workout experience that combines the functional mobility benefits of yoga, animal flow, and bodyweight training with the challenge, thrills and spills of training on water.🌊💧🌊💧

The workout is conducted on an inflatable floating platform in a swimming pool. The goal is to allow you to develop strength, balance, and coordination and activate stabilizing muscles throughout your body on an unpredictable surface.

The water aspect adds a fun element of challenge with a playful "floor is lava" twist.

Get ready to work muscles you never knew existed, can you make it through the workout without falling into the water?

Hit the link in my bio or send me a DM if you want to book a session 😉💪🏾✅️

Happiest heart to be back in the studio 💕

Breaking in the new year with a little twiddle to test the dance floor 🌪️ As one does.

Grateful to be in this love affair with dance. My first love. Brutal sometimes but always honest.

Sweet new year to you. May 2023 bring love and honesty. 💫

💥WORKSHOP ALERT💥

Join @leilahkirsten on 17 + 18 December at 9am for FLOORWORK at @flowlabsa ✨

“Floorwork” refers to movement that is performed on the floor. It is a wonderful way to explore the body’s relationship to gravity and a powerful tool for developing mobile joints alongside a relaxed body.

Floorwork can often be experienced as a therapeutic practice in that the floor acts as a constant base of support. Additionally, floorwork can develop strength and resilience in the body - if we look at child development, the repeated getting up and down off of the floor builds core strength, the ability to balance and muscle tone.

Floorwork adds versatility to your movement practice and movement capacity.

Leilah Kirsten is a South African movement coach, dancer and performance artist. She lovingly facilitates movement and dance as a tool for personal development and well-being.

See SUMMER LAB link in bio for bookings 🎟️

It’s the 1st December 2022 😱 How did that happen!?

It’s been a YEAR (said dramatically) 😅

Playing “catch up” after two years of pandemic life might have had us all in a bit of a spin. Nothing is really the same if I take a moment to pause and reflect. How could it be?

Grateful for all this beast has brought and also ready for some downtime this month.

Take care as we spiral towards a new calendar cycle, another year of experiences and continued transformation.

Love 💕
