An inspiring workshop blending landscape photography and 3D structures with @ibby_azab; a talk about the creative practices and stress of photobook publishing (which I’m going through right now for a book I’m contributing to) with artists @gabulaurent and @campbelladdy; and first-class indie finds like @to.be.magazine @icalondon ‘s fantastic GLUE book fair. Also, handmade The Nook @matt_reeves_furniture and other great designs part of Crafted Futures @l_d_f_official Enjoying a break @gabrielswharfta before it’s demolished - another beautiful local traders and food hub in central London lost to developers. …And me, cycling like mad between all these. But it’s exactly this creative energy and inspiration that gets me through the punishing deadlines. PS. Read my tips on cycling this gorgeous central London route and more (in Greek and English) here https://www.athinorama.gr/travel/3075645/to-londino-se-duo-rodes/ #icalondon #bookfair #indiepublishing #gabrielswharf #londondesignfestival

Join us tomorrow at @clairederouenbooks for the launch of a new publication of Gabby Laurent’s (@gabulaurent) latest body of work, ‘You Used to Be Connected’. The self-published edition, limited to 50 concertina books, each includes 10 hand-painted photographs. Inspired by feminist and performance art history, Gabby Laurent (b. 1985} combines photography and performance to explore themes of aggression, control, vulnerability, motherhood, and domesticity. Our bellybuttons serve as a reminder of the physical connection we once had—a line to our mothers and to life itself. This work reflects on a growing sense of disconnection: from ourselves, from each other, from history, and from the land. It is, ultimately, a reminder to reconnect. 📕 Launch for Gabby Laurent: ‘You Used to be Connected’ 📍 Claire de Rouen Books, 11a Kingsland Road, London E2 🗓️ Friday 3 July 2026 🕰️ 6–8pm 🔗 Learn more from the link in our bio #gabbylaurent #youusedtobeconnected #booklaunch #flowersgallery Images: details of Gabby Laurent, You Used to Be Connected 2,3, Hand Printed C-type print, 18.5 x 12.5 cm; Install, Photo London, 2026, Booth E02, Kensington Olympia.

My 8 favourite artworks from Photo London Leaving Photo London this year, what stayed with me most was the feeling of proximity to the work. Photography has a unique ability to hold onto a moment and bring you directly into the time and atmosphere in which the image was captured. Many of the works carried a raw physical honesty, retaining the presence of the artist and the intimacy of the instant itself. Seeing so much work rooted in analogue process and film made that feeling even stronger. Every work captured the imagination, but these were the eight artworks that really drew my eye at the fair 👇 Old man with groceries, Spanish Harlem NY 1986 By @rollie6x6 Presented by @galeriebenetaschen Pulaski Skyway, New Jersey By @rollie6x6 Presented by @galeriebenetaschen Neisser, Pinar del Río, Cuba, 2025 By @jamescliffordkent Presented by @davidhill_photo Zahra and Diego at the Car Wash Fundraiser, Project Hope, Cape Town By @laurapannack Presented by @davidhill_photo Moesheida, Project Hope, Cape Town By @laurapannack Presented by @davidhill_photo Every artwork featured in Hope93 By @misanharriman Presented by @hope93gallery You Used To Be Connected 1 By @gabulaurent Presented by @flowersgallery Ra’s Rising By @devinyalkin Presented by @evinartgallery #PhotoLondon #Photography #exhibition #ContemporaryArt #art @photolondonfair
