If you love Brazil, now is the time to show up for us. We are fighting to protect the rights and freedoms that took generations to win.

Art is political. As a community that promotes, loves and lives Brazilian culture, we cannot support a government or candidate whose values stand against everything we believe in.
Born in Rio’s favelas, funk is rooted in Black culture and shaped by communities whose voices, bodies and creativity have too often been criminalised or pushed aside, including LGBTQ+ people.

For years, this music has brought joy to dance floors across the UK. Behind that joy are people whose lives and rights deserve the same support as their music.

Loving Brazilian culture means standing with the people who make it.

Artists for democracy.
Creatives for democracy.
Producers for democracy.
Promoters for democracy.
DJs for democracy.

#tbt to shorts weather in July! 😭 🩳 deffo feeling the change of seasons but September is my birthday month so I’m all about those feelings of new beginnings and taking stock.

Immensely proud of the work we’ve done in the last 10 months with @baileldn. Me and @djmangopark started throwing parties again in Nov and it’s been a huge learning curve, with covid cancellations, sellout shows and a lot of growth (and soul searching). Our new third member @gabvallim is an absolute powerhouse and I’m excited to see where the next year takes us!

This pic was taken outside @boxpark with @badsista_ who it’s been my pleasure to watch grow over the last few years too.

I’m very proud of the calibre of artists we’ve brought through to the night and having @bianca_oblivion and @tayylormadeit playing our next night is gonna be 👌👌👌

Come celebrate with us! Our next party is 17th Sept at @dalstonden. See you in the dance.
