A Message from Our Camp Director 💙 And just like that, the very first summer of Camp Elevate is in the books. A year ago, Camp Elevate was simply an idea. One centered around creating a summer experience where kids could be active, build friendships, try new things, grow in confidence, and most importantly, have a place they were genuinely excited to come back to each day. This summer, we got to watch that idea become a reality. Across eight weeks of camp, we welcomed 147 camper registrations through our doors. We played more games of dodgeball than we could ever count, learned new sports, made crafts, competed in challenges, celebrated theme days, made new friends, laughed—a lot—and created memories that stretched far beyond the games we played. Some of my favorite moments were also the simplest: watching a camper walk in nervous on Monday and leave with new friends by Friday, hearing kids ask their parents if they could come back for another week, seeing counselors become role models, and hearing from families that their child couldn’t wait to get back to camp the next morning. Those are the moments that made this summer what it was. To every family who trusted us with your child—thank you. Being part of their summer is something we never took lightly, and your support, encouragement, and willingness to take a chance on a brand-new program meant more than you know. To our Camp Elevate counselors and team—thank you for bringing the energy every single day, adapting when plans changed, loving our campers well, and helping turn a vision into something real. And to our campers—you are the reason we did all of this. Thank you for bringing your personalities, your competitiveness, your creativity, your laughter, and SO much energy into the gym every week. Our first summer taught us a lot, gave us plenty to celebrate, and made us even more excited for what’s ahead. The first chapter of Camp Elevate has officially been written, and what a chapter it was. 💙 Thank you for being part of the beginning. — Katie Sahl Director of Summer Camp
