One year ago today, we said goodbye to our sweet dog, Roscoe. ❤️

Making the decision to let him go was one of the hardest things we’ve ever had to do. But we were able to give him a peaceful goodbye at home, in the place where he had grown up and spent most of his 18 years.
I wasn’t ready to tell everyone when he died. It took me a few months to be able to post about him bc it was just too hard…

But something unexpected happened the day after he died. I had a songwriting zoom scheduled with some amazing co-writers (Gail Silverman, Ceri Earle & Mario Bringas) who had no idea I had just lost Roscoe. The zoom was already planned, and I couldn’t bring myself to cancel or even tell them, knowing I would just cry the entire time. And somehow, without my co-writers knowing what had happened, we wrote THIS song. Like the song needed to be written.

So today, one year after saying goodbye to my boy, I’m releasing this song in his honor.

Run, baby, run. ❤️

P.S. This song may have been born from saying goodbye to Roscoe, but it’s for anyone who has ever had to say goodbye to someone they love. ❤️

I got to work on “Deep End” with the amazingly talented producer @deadcovenants 🙌 and the incredible songwriter @gailsilvermanakag 🙌.

This is sincerely one of my fav placements to date!🙏🙏

Reaching this milestone is something that I never expected, but had dreamed of happening "someday".
