Shot on film, because the Traveler doesn’t rush anything — including how he’s remembered. Zero audience. Zero back catalog. No name recognition. That’s where Artist Archive Podcast started — a show I co-founded and co-host, serving as Creative Director and Producer, in a category already crowded with editorial content and celebrity commentary. There was no existing brand to apply a strategy to. Every piece — identity, format, guest curation, content strategy — had to be built from the ground up. One season and twelve episodes later: 3 paid sponsors and official media partner credentials for two major Arizona events, Phoenix Swim Week and Scottsdale Ferrari Art Week. That’s not a vanity metric — that’s proof brands and event organizers treated this as a credible platform worth paying for, within months of launch. The strategy behind it: long-form conversations built the credibility and the relationships. Short-form cutdowns built the reach. And every piece of content, long or short, served one narrative — real creatives, given a real platform, one conversation at a time. This is the third post in a series proving what Jeff Otto Creative actually builds — not just photography, but full brand ecosystems from the ground up. Swipe through to see how it came together → then let’s talk about what it could look like for your brand or idea. Elevation of the Mundane To take something with no realized value, and to transform it - this was always the goal of Siyousen. To elevate the mundane through reimagination, to recontextualize everyday objects into items which can be coveted and fetishized - this was the mission. The 2 tone concept encapsulates this idea in pure form. The tees selected for two tones are chosen specifically for their mundanity. They are, generally, promotional tees printed on good blanks. These tees have essentially no value in their original form, operating more as souvenirs than fashion - mere memorial tokens which have lost their sentiment to the rememberer. These base tees are mundane, with no realized value, but some valuable attributes - they are 100% cotton, comfortably softened through wear, and produced in an era when promotional items were high quality. Through splitting and reconstructing them, altering the hemline and creating a pleasing line of double stitching down the center, through introducing slight asymmetry and a muted variation in color pallete, the mundane is elevated. Forgotten tees are turned into statements about the transient nature of ephemeral promotional products. This is why we never use band tees nor other brand’s tees for our two tones - these items may still have some realizable value to a normie. The tees selected for Siyousen 2 tones are artifacts, memories of past experiences. Instead of leaning on the iconography of a popular franchise to elevate our own brand image, Siyousen chooses to elevate the mundane. #elevationofthemundane #reconstruction #margiela #archive #designethos
