A year ago, we traveled to Japan to go to Star Wars Celebration. It was a once in a lifetime trip with my friends.

I’ll always remember how I almost passed out waiting for Pedro Pascal but he winked in my general direction and life was suddenly worth living. #worthit 😂

Great work @chewbekahcreates - I love this shirt and everything related to it. Love my extended Star Wars family too.

A lil late here but #maythefourth be with you, and happy #revengeofthefifth !

I usually post a toy photography pic to celebrate but I felt the need to do something different this year.

The people who know me KNOW I love Star Wars. That universe is so transcendent, it’s so much more than simply a set of films. It has many different themes, but among them, my favorite might be that of friendship and chosen family.

Lucas talked about that theme being one of the oldest in mythology, or even recorded human history, and how it was important for him to include it in his stories.

None of the heroes in Star Wars succeed on their own. They all need help, whether it’s a Smuggler and a Wookie, a droid, or a benevolent alien creature… we all need someone to lean on and get us through hard times.

I’ve had my share of challenges over the last few years and I’ve certainly had to lean on my friends more than I ever thought I would. I hope I never asked too much of them but I can confidently say none of them let me down. They have shown up for me in ways I didn’t expect and could never have imagined. I aspire to be able to support them in the same unconditional way, should they ever need to call on me.

The people in these pictures are my most dear friends. I’ve known most of them for DECADES. Some I don’t have pictures of or with, and I’m sorry! I need to remedy that as soon as possible! But I’ve always strived to cultivate a small group of friends who I was very close with, who I knew I could depend on, rather than a large number of friends. Quality over Quantity has always been my motto when it came to friendships and these people are nothing but the highest quality a friend could hope for. I am so very lucky and grateful to have them in my life… I wouldn’t trade them for anything… not even a real Millennium Falcon.

These are in no particular order except the first one I had to put there because it’s Star Wars themed, and as a side note, I’ve been going to the Star Wars Celebrations around the world since 2007 with my friend Dave (pictured).

From the authentic, positive fans that make for an incredible found family, to the storytellers, creators, and producers who keep the tales going...happy Star Wars Day! #maythe4thbewithyou

#swcj day one post! This was my second Celebration and it was pretty much better all around than last time. Meeting people irl that I met through this very account was great!

Highly recommend wearing a big Jar Jar Binks hat. I can’t tell you how many times people would walk past and I’d hear someone whisper “Jar Jar!” to their friends, plus it made me easy to find for swag trading (really cleaned up this year)

Yup...the hits keep coming. The best part of Celebration is seeing friends (sometimes for the first time in person) and meeting new ones. Mission accomplished in Japan. Cheers, all! #therearemoreofus

A huge thank you to @galaxyfarfaragray and @nerdmatters for taking me to see the andor panel at the celebration stage. 😭

After attending four Star Wars Celebrations, I can sincerely say that for me what makes Celebration great is the people. The people I meet while queuing, or in the hotel lobby. The friends I meet and the friends I make in these few days. The people who share their passion in uniquely creative and astounding ways.

Panels can be fun or disappointing, news can be good or underwhelming, trailers can be exciting or not, the merch can be cool or sold out… but, summing up, what really makes the difference in how I enjoy Celebration is the people I meet, chat with, trade some swag, have a nice dinner with. Those are the memories I will treasure.

If I focus on that (your focus determines your reality!), Celebration can never disappoint me. I can never get tired of it.
Can’t wait for Los Angeles 2027!
