We are so happy everyone is getting settled in and we know you’ll be looking for a church home. We have several church partners in the area that our students have found home in and they’d love to invite you to sit with them!

There are many great options of church homes in Starkville, these are just five that our students have committed to attending on Sunday so that you’ll have someone to sit with.

Shoot them a DM or just show up and look for them on Sunday morning!

“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” - Mahatma Gandhi

This year, I served as the Chief of my section, leading the 6 lodges, planning conclave and E4orce, and representing thousands of people on a national stage. This opened doors for me that I didn’t think were possible. I started a legacy and I am continuing to live that legacy out. But in service to my section, and while meeting with people from around the country, I found myself. I found my why and discovered what I find joy in. I truly find joy in serving and inspiring others.

In an election that the nation was watching, I dismissed the politics, disregarded asking for votes, and instead focused on my role and the tasks at hand. This weekend, with the help of many people around me and the warm welcome of my home lodge @tiak_404, we hosted a historic conclave that marks a new dawn for Section E4. Arrowspace Conclave was a massive success in terms of logistics, program, and most importantly to me, inspiration. I had the opportunity to lead, to learn, and to inspire the next generation, the future leaders of the world, in my little slice of paradise called Section E4.

I got to do what I love most, serve and inspire. But it seems in life, purely serving others in the best way you can is not always enough to meet your goals. I am not upset and I am not spiteful, for the Lord’s word in Galatians 6:9 says, “Let us not become weary in doing good.” My plans changed, but perhaps that was God’s plan all along.

I want to congratulate the new officers, Galen, Kaleb, and Daniel, and I want you and the rest of the Order of the Arrow to know that I will be here to serve you in every way I can.

My message coming out of this weekend is this: You can’t get rid of me that easily.

Section E4 would like to introduce its newly elected Section Chief, Galen Walter!

Galen is an Eagle Scout, and Vigil Honor member of Sebooney Okasucca Lodge 260. Prior to being elected, Galen served as a Chapter Chief, Vice Chief of Membership, and Lodge Chief. Galen currently attends Mississippi State University!

His dedication to the scouting movement, the OA, and serving others will be vital in moving E4 forward. He is excited to see what this year brings to all Arrowmen in the section!
