Smokey is a very mellow and sweet boy. When he arrived he did well in playgroups-described as tolerant, mellow and unbothered, but 2 months being stuck in a kennel is taking its toll, and he has recently shown selectivity and vulnerability (though he's still a regular and does well with corrections). He’s best with confident dogs who let him just do his own thing. During playgroups and outings he really just wants to be by people, lounging in the pool.

We know this boy just aches to be in a loving home, and we don't understand why he isn't in one. It's heartbreaking to see seniors in the shelter at a time they need care and love the most. 🥺
He deserves to live however many years he has left not questioning whether he matters and why he lost the love he had.

Please help us get this boy out of the shelter ASAP by sharing and pledging for rescue!

🚨 URGENT: FOXY (#A1791164)

Imagine being 12 years old, weighing just 8 pounds, and losing the only family you knew because they no longer had time for you. 💔

That is Foxy’s reality.

This sweet, brown Dachshund mix was surrendered on October 13, 2026, because her owner said they no longer had time for her. Now this tiny senior girl is sitting in a shelter, waiting for someone to notice her, choose her, and show her that she still matters. 😭

And Foxy has more to worry about than finding a home. Her shelter medical evaluation documented severe dental disease, missing and worn teeth, eye abnormalities with discharge, significant skin changes affecting her back and all four limbs, and a stiff gait with muscle loss. She has medical needs that deserve attention, comfort, and compassionate care.

At 12 years old, this little girl should be curled up in a warm bed, receiving gentle affection and knowing she is safe. Instead, she is waiting in a shelter, hoping someone will give her a chance.

💔 Foxy didn’t ask to grow old. She didn’t ask to have medical needs. And she certainly didn’t ask to be surrendered.

She deserves to know what it feels like to be loved without conditions. To have a person who sees her not as a burden, but as a precious little soul still worthy of love, dignity, and kindness.

Please share her story. Tag rescues. Reach out to anyone who might open their heart and home to this tiny girl.

Foxy’s life still matters. Her golden years should be filled with love, not loneliness. Please don’t let her be overlooked. 💔🙏

📣UPDATE: ADOPTED!🎉
💔😭 9 YO, ONLY 10.92 LBS, AND AFTER ALMOST A DECADE OF LOYALTY, OLIVE WAS ABANDONED!💔

Adorable little Olive (#A2293482) was heartlessly surrendered to the shelter on 9/6. After spending nearly 10 years of his life with his family, how could the people he trusted leave him behind to face such a frightening and uncertain future? 😭💔

His medical notes stated: MODERATE TO HEAVY CALCULI, HALITOSIS, OPACITY OU, UNKEPT COAT. This little senior boy needs care, comfort, and someone who won’t give up on him.

Upon intake, Olive was trying to bite, likely frightened and overwhelmed by the unfamiliar shelter environment. But when I visited him last week, I saw a different side of him.🥺 Olive was waiting at the front of his kennel when I arrived. I leashed him and carried him to the M&G room. We passed the cat room, and he showed no reaction to the cats. Once inside, he explored a little and quickly did his business, possibly indicating he’s house-trained.🤷🏻‍♀️

Then, something beautiful happened. Olive came over to me and allowed me to pet his head and scratch his back. He began rubbing his little body back and forth against my legs, seeking affection and connection. For that moment, he wasn’t just a frightened shelter dog. He was a little soul reaching out for love.🥹

When he saw a man walking by, he barked at him. I called him over, and he came right back to rub against my leg. Shelter notes indicate that Olive is uncomfortable around men and prefers women.

OLIVE IS NOT A BAD DOG. HE IS A SCARED LITTLE BOY WHO NEEDS SOMEONE WILLING TO BE PATIENT AND EARN HIS TRUST.

PLEASE DON’T LET OLIVE SPEND HIS REMAINING YEARS IN A SHELTER. He deserves a chance to feel safe again, to have a soft bed to sleep in, gentle hands to comfort him, and someone who will love him unconditionally, even when he needs a little extra patience. Please adopt, foster, pledge or share.🙏

📣UPDATE: ALL 4 RESCUED TOGETHER BY @bichonrescuebrigade!🎉 Please honor your pledges.🙏

🆘💔4 SENIOR DOGS LOST THEIR HOME. PLEASE DON’T LET THEM LOSE EACH OTHER, TOO! 😭

💔 10 YO seniors Coyote (#A2299281, 12 lbs), Troop (#A2299283, 22 lbs), Brownie (#A2299415, 19 lbs) and Lola (#A2299416, 11.2 lbs) were surrendered together due to their owner’s financial and health issues. Now, they are terrified at the shelter, clinging to each other for comfort.💔 I met all four of them, and my heart broke.😭

Lola and Brownie were huddled together, trembling in the back of their kennel. With a little patience and gentle affection, they slowly came to me. Before long, both were snuggled in my lap, soaking up every bit of love they could get.❤️

Coyote and Troop were just as frightened. They trembled in my arms and wouldn’t even take treats. I spent some time comforting them, with Coyote curled in my lap and Troop sitting close beside me.🥺 But when it was time to return to their kennel, Troop grabbed my leg in fear. When I tried to put him back, he wrapped his little paws tightly around my arm and wouldn’t let go.😭 He had found comfort in my arms, and he didn’t want me to leave him behind. I gently unwrapped his paws, but walking away broke my heart.💔

The day before, all 4 were taken into the yard, and they were SO HAPPY to see each other again!🥹 They’ve already lost their home and the family they knew. Please don’t let them lose each other, too.🙏 Please help these precious seniors find loving homes, ideally together. If all four cannot stay together, please consider adopting or fostering at least two together so they have a familiar face to comfort them.

They deserve to spend their golden years feeling safe, warm, and loved, not trembling in a shelter, wondering what happened to their lives.💔

🆘 PLEASE ADOPT, FOSTER, PLEDGE OR SHARE! 🙏❤️ One act of kindness could save them from losing everything they have left.
