One of my close friends that has been like a brother to me got married yesterday!!! I still look at you as that little baby working in the back area of forever. But in reality you are an extraordinary man who married an extraordinary woman!!! I am so excited and honored to be apart of the start of your next chapter of life! ✨I'm still so overwhelmed following Boss Brunch: New Chapters. I have so much to say, more photos & videos, and many thanks to give, but I'll keep it "short" for the gram (kind of lol). This was my fifth Boss Brunch event since 2019 and even in the midst of not working & personal challenges, I was able to host this one because of the genuine love and support of the women (and men!) who love the mission of it. I'm always humbled every time I host a Boss Brunch event because sometimes I forget how powerful and beautiful it is to bring women of color together. This time we celebrated "new chapters," the growing pains of it, the growth from it and even a birthday. Every event continues to grow and initiate new friendships & sisterhood because of the connection and relatability to our experiences. Thank you to all who attended, my lovely speakers, my family and friends who supported me on-site, my venue host & amazing caterer, and a very special thank you to all my donors. It is all because of you that this was able to happen. Love you all 💗 ✨

There was a time when I was going through my bouts of grief and depression I would often reminisce on the past. I would wish I could go back to feeling “normal” ( whatever that means). Wishing I could be the person I was before.
Over time by the grace of Eledumare (God) through prayer, spiritual healing, and spiritual work I’ve healed. Alongside the support I’ve received from my close love ones and friends, I’ve truly come out on the other side of those dark days.
I no longer look back wishing I was the past version of myself. I’m embracing every emotion I feel and using them as lessons which teaches me more about myself. I learn more and more what my strengths are and short comings. Things that are in my control and what I must let go of. I’m doing my very best to be present in this moment. I now look forward to the woman I’m involving into. How fascinating. 😊
