PEELING OFF You only see the surface, hidden stories are underneath. I was grown in a land tended to for thousands of years. Engineered for your consumption, touched by hands whose names I don't know. Neither do you. Most of what brought me here was designed to go unnoticed. What happens next is yours. #MelbourneDesignWeek #NGV @NGVMelbourne #melbournefoodie #melbournecity #foodgentrification #design #anticolonialdesign #criticaldesign #designtheworldyouwant #Naarm #SociableDesigner #rmitmdit #foodie

I wanted to share my incredible experience of attending the Ganga Aarti ceremony in Varanasi. The ritual takes place every evening on the banks of the holy river Ganges. As the sun sets, the atmosphere becomes charged with anticipation and spirituality. The ceremony is a beautiful blend of sights, sounds, and emotions that leave a lasting impression. The priests, dressed in vibrant saffron robes, perform intricate rituals with grace and precision. The highlight is when they offer the aarti, a tray with burning camphor, to the river. The flames dance in the darkness, casting a warm glow on the faces of the devotees. The collective voices of the devotees create a powerful energy that resonates through the entire city. Attending the Ganga Aarti was a transformative experience. It reminded me of the power of faith and the importance of spirituality. Have you witnessed the magic yet ? #varanasi #banaras #ganga #gangaarti #kashi #mahakal

As we are revamping THE BRAND. The first post needs to be of GREETING everyone… Meaning : Namaste = "Namaḥ" (bow) + "te" (to you), Our Tradition, which symbolises to acknowledgement of the divine presence with the human body. Interesting Fact : Namaste emerged as a popular greeting due to its contactless nature, symbolizing respect during COVID-19. It became a global symbol of connection. Benefits : The Namaste hand posture, also known as Anjali Mudra, offers several benefits: - Promotes focus and mindfulness: Bringing the hands together in Namaste helps to center the mind and draw attention to the present moment. It can be used as a gesture to begin or end a meditation or yoga practice, aiding in concentration and inner stillness. - Calms the mind and reduces stress: The gentle pressure applied by pressing the palms together stimulates the nerve endings in the hands, promoting a sense of calmness and relaxation. It can help reduce stress, anxiety, and tension. - Balances energy in the body: Anjali Mudra is believed to create a connection between the left and right hemispheres of the brain, harmonizing the body's energy flow. It balances the subtle energy channels (nadis) and activates the flow of prana (life force) throughout the body. - Enhances self-awareness and self-reflection: The act of bringing the hands to the heart center in Namaste encourages self-awareness and introspection. It serves as a reminder to connect with one's inner self, fostering a sense of self-reflection, gratitude, and self-acceptance. - Cultivates a sense of unity and respect: Namaste is a gesture of respect, unity, and inclusivity. By placing the hands together, it symbolizes the recognition of the divine within oneself and in others, promoting a sense of equality, compassion, and interconnectedness. #ratnavallijewels #ratnavalli #arkadesigns #tirupati #templejewellery #namaste #sanatandharma #polkidiamonds #jadaujewellery #jadauzewar #yogaposture #history
