Wonderful exhibition from @pie_aerts / @because.people.matter in the @gallastudios in Amsterdam. A must see, showing work from his photography project in Patagonia. (It’s on display all this weekend). It was also the launching of the photobook Coirón, which features work of this project. Very inspiring analog work, all I can say is that I’m glad I backed this project on Kickstarter. Ps. Picture of some reflections caught in one of the masterpieces on display. #analog #photography #booklaunch #inspiration #amsterdam

Thinking about doing a pop-up in Amsterdam or Paris? 🍒 For me, one of the best parts is seeing the whole thing come together — from the first concept to the actual space, setup and days of the event. For this K-beauty project, we had several Korean beauty brands with very different identities, so we knew we didn’t want to just place them next to each other in a nice space. We wanted it to feel more like a gallery. We explored three different concepts first, and in the end built the project around the Five Elements of Life from Korean philosophy — Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water. From there, the concept helped guide almost everything: which brand belonged in which zone, set design, florals, product placement, furniture, signage, collaborations, drinks and how people would move through the space. For Water, for example, we brought in a pearl jewellery collaboration and NOMO created a blue drink for that zone, while the styling and products followed the same idea. Then came the practical part: floor plans, supplier coordination, deliveries, setup timings, furniture, staffing, venue rules, product placement, helping with the set and florals, and all the little things that always come up before opening. And then being there throughout all five days, coordinating everything and making sure the space kept working the way we imagined. I also really loved that we briefed the team more like gallery guides than sales staff — to explain the idea and let people discover the brands naturally. That’s probably what I love most about this kind of work: starting with one creative idea and then building every part around it until it becomes a real experience. Have an idea and want to organise a pop-up in Amsterdam or Paris? Send us a DM with “POP UP” and we’ll schedule a completely complimentary intro call to hear your idea and see how we can make it happen.

Tekst gaat verder in comments 🌸💜 #lilaloom #dskinbydelia #teenskincare #huidverzorging #pubers
