What happens when a legendary luthier goes all out on Brazilian rosewood? This 2019 Bryan Galloup G.4 is a good answer. The back and sides are master grade Brazilian rosewood, and the top is master grade German spruce. The Brazilian rosewood continues into the fretboard, bridge, and bindings, so a good portion of the guitar is made from the same wood. It’s a concert-size body, and it weighs just over four pounds. The details are as carefully done as the build, with a figured koa purfling, a “Pickup Stix” rosette, and a custom one-off Deco Nouveau maple backstrip inlay that you only see when you turn the guitar around. @galloupguitars @matthewchulka

Gold Label Mod-D | Swiss Moon Spruce × EIR The final Hozen travelling with the @boutiqueguitarshowcase enTour 2026 is my Gold Label Mod-D. Swiss Moon Spruce over East Indian Rosewood, lattice braced and individually voiced by my hands. Gold Label is my performance-first approach to guitar making — refined, purposeful and stripped of anything that does not contribute to the instrument. Full Hozen ergonomics, exceptional tonewoods, and a clean aesthetic that lets the guitar speak for itself. Although I did allow myself one little bit of fun. Turn off the lights, and it glows. The luminescent details are subtle by day and reveal another personality when the stage goes dark. Only three stops remain on the BGS enTour: Oct 2 — Empire Music, PA @empiremusicpgh Oct 3 — Guitar Guys, OH @guitarguysohio Oct 5 — Galloup Guitars, MI @galloupguitars If you are nearby, this is your chance to experience it with your own hands. Go play it. The specifications can only tell you so much. #HozenGuitars #GoldLabel #BoutiqueGuitarShowcase #BGSenTour #HandVoiced

This 2019 Galloup G.2C is a powerhouse. Striking Brazilian Rosewood back and sides, Italian Spruce top with Adirondack Spruce bracing, nitro finish and hide glue construction—Bryan applies the scientific method to his building, yielding consistently consistent guitars like his responsive G.2C. We love the definition between the registers, and the crisp presence of individual notes; they burst right out of the soundhole under even a delicate attack. The larger lower bout helps flesh out the bass response, and we had so much fun tuning this beauty down into D and even C territory to really bring out that bottom end growl. Available Now! I'm really excited to have this instrument on tour with @boutiqueguitarshowcase I've been mostly quiet about this DelAir, which I built early in the year to exhibit in Switzerland. It is the most refined thing I've ever created. I pulled down the fanciest, and best wood from my collection, and ALL of the parts and inlay are solid sterling silver made by myself or local jewelers. Simply put, it's a once in a lifetime guitar. It will be showcased alongside the work of a group of incredible, legendary artists and craftsmen and I'm proud to be a part of it all. Don't miss the chance to experience all these breathtaking guitars in person. Links in my bio for details or to read more about me and this one of a kind DelAir.

Part 1 of “Guitars that take the edge off.” ✔️ With master luthiers Kevin Ryan and Grit Laskin pioneering the first arm bevels several decades ago, they have become a favorite of many clients and always a visual treat while photographing. Because I’m bad at posting here are some of guitars I got to work on during my time at Galloup. I decided to go back to school last summer. I miss all the great people that work there. And aftermath of me falling through the ceiling.

From 2017, we have an excellent example of the magic that comes from Bryan Galloup’s bench: a G.2C large body guitar with a cutaway, Brazilian rosewood everywhere, and some incredible Italian spruce on top. This guitar has had a few years to open up, and it’s very lively. It features natural aesthetics and a powerful modern tone. Frankly, this guitar handles a wide variety of techniques and styles easily - perfect for the studio or the concert hall. Available Now! Sonic Replica R—Mahogany back and sides paired with Italian Spruce on top. The Sonic Replica Project is Galloup Studios’ deep dive into what makes vintage flattops so magical. Each Replica begins with a meticulously selected original—like this ’39 D-18—which is then reverse profiled using CT scanning to capture wood density, resonance patterns, and more. Every element, from top and back thickness to finish layers and deflection measurements, is accounted for. The goal? Not just to look the part, but to sound and feel like the real thing. We realised we still have this fun group-picture from the previous @thenammshow . It was such a fun and unique year for us, trying new things whilst navigating new problems we ran into. We’re incredibly thankful for everyone involved and we can’t wait to work with all of you again.
