The Cure For Anything Is Salt Water - Sweat, Tears, Or The Sea

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This book, 1001 Movies You Must See Before You Die, has been my go-to lately when I don’t feel like scrolling through endless streaming options. 🎬

A huge thanks to my friend Jaime, who gifted it to me about 20 years ago! Because of it, I’ve discovered so many incredible classics — and I still add a little sticker next to each one I’ve seen. 🌟

After Metropolis, I went way back and watched the controversial 1915 film The Birth of a Nation by D.W. Griffith — the first movie ever shown in the White House. Some scenes feel like black-and-white reflections of today’s unrest.

It’s not an easy watch, but definitely one that sparks conversation.
P.S. You can clearly see how it influenced Tarantino’s Django Unchained.
