Rogues and Rookies May 26 - ✅️
.
Handling 7 athletes at the same competition should be daunting but honestly knowing the people I'm working with there was never any doubt it was going to be a joy
.
I couldn't be more proud of how everyone handled themselves throughout comp prep, executing the plans set out to a t (with the appropriate level of complaining obviously 🤣)
.
But then we turned up on the day and it was amazing to be a part of. Helping each other like a team, following the strategy as the day went on and giving their all to every lift
.
And the results speak for themselves:
- 3/6 podium places, out of 30 athletes competing
- 21 attempts made across 7 athletes resulting in 15 all time PBs total
- And a message from the organiser complementing the friendliness, effort, and sportsmanship they brought to the day
.
A first 100kg bench, a first ever pain free performance, some STAGGERING jumps from previous PBs, an athlete who travelled all the way from London to compete, and more than a couple mental barriers broken through
.
Yeh I'll take that

After doing the rounds on the international film festival circuit (mostly online) we are delighted to be the first in the UK to show this work on the big screen, live and in person. No Entry a film by Kaleb D'Aguilar (DP'd by our very own Liam Scully) is a short film set against the backdrop of the Windrush scandal, a Jamaican mother, Valerie Powell, struggles to keep her relationship with her son Eli intact. She suffers in silence as she battles with the government's hostile environment tactics.
See it first on Saturday at the Thamesmead Travelling Cinema! #film #independentcinema #outdoorcinema #openaircinema #filmlondon #bfi #communitycinema #artistfilm @noentryfilm @kaleb_locs @thamesmeadtexas @gambogram

We're back with a bang! No Entry will be screening at the award-winning @thrdhrzn film festival on Friday 25th June at 6 pm. Link in bio.

We are honoured that the film gets to play at a festival aimed at sharing stories of the Caribbean community, its diaspora and other marginalised and underrepresented communities. The film is achieving what we intended it to.
