Hey guys just an old school gamer that loves talking video games and hopes to help the industry any way possible. Love the 80's and 90's!

FINALLY getting around to sharing some photos of my completed Sigma kit!

I'll be honest, I kinda had a love-hate relationship with this kit. Of course it was really cool to put Sigma together, and it's a very nice size kit at that. *Most* of the assembly went smoothly, except for one side of his chest piece which didn't quite fit together right and where I unfortunately caused some slight discoloration. 🤬

Well, the good news is his cape covers it up and that's how I intend to display him. And boy, does he look really menacing all suited up and towering over X! All in all it turned out pretty well and glad to have him in the display case awaiting future kits. 🙂

Happy Friday everyone! Finishing off the week by sharing the other two Mega Man @funko Pops from the new wave, X and Zero!

We technically already have a couple of X Pops from prior waves, ones that came in two packs with Rocket for Marvel vs Capcom Infinite, but here we have him in all his glory featuring a new pose and once again a nice metallic sheen to his armor.

With that said, this is Zero's first entry into the full-sized Pops line, and I have to say, even being more of an X fan myself, I think Zero's Pop is actually really cool. His pose is great, his Z-Saber looks sharp and even his armor is quite detailed for a Pops figure. Pretty cool additions to the collection! 😃

I think it's a fitting day to share an addition to the @funko collection: Proto Man!

With the release of a new Mega Man: Dual Override trailer featuring some sweet gameplay footage of Proto Man, I finally snapped some photos of his "second edition" Funko Pop which released not too long ago.

This is part of a wave featuring Proto Man, X, and Zero. I just got X and Zero as well so will eventually post those, but I think today should be reserved for Blues himself.

As you can see, he has a different pose from his OG version which came out in 2016, and more of a metallic sheen to his red armor. One interesting thing I noticed was that the new version is also slightly larger than the original one, with just a bit more detail around things like his buster, scarf, and shield as well. Pretty neat!

Introducing the next statue for the @banpresto_global Grandista line: MegaMan.EXE!

I really like the sculpts of this line. It's a softer plastic that feels higher quality and the colors are always on point. Standing close to 10 inches tall, these are arguably some of the nicest statues you can get for a very reasonable price point.

I'm glad they decided to switch things up with this statue and use a pose that's essentially mirrored from the classic Mega Man, plus the clenching fist being less offset as well. Another nice addition to the case and who knows, maybe we'll see some X or Zero statues someday? 😁

Comic bonanza to end the week!

Swung by my local shop the other day to snag both the fifth and final issue of the X comic (wrapping up the events of X1) as well as the Dr. Wily one-shot by @udonent! Looking forward to reading each of these, especially the Wily comic. The X comic must have done well, because Udon has already teased a prequel one-shot and X2 adaptation at SDCC!

Talk about timing, because then in the mail I get Volume 1 of Mega Man Adventures! This full-size hardcover collects the first 12 issues of the Archie Mega Man comic that ran back in 2011-2015, plus a new short story made just for this collection.

Yes, Udon got the rights to republish these and I couldn't be more excited. I admittedly didn't start reading the Archie comics until the trade paperbacks were released and they decided to stop after Volume 8 of 12. I never bought the individual issues so reading these again (and some for the first time) will be great. I'm really hoping Udon sticks through it and collects the entire line.

If you're interested in how the new hardcovers from Udon stack up to the older Archie TPBs, I've included a comparison. You can see how much larger the Udon books are which is great. 😃

Just a little weekend gaming!

Working on my Iris kit, I came to the realization that I only had one outstanding trophy on the Mega Man X Legacy Collection, and it was to beat X4 as Zero. Now I love Zero, but having always been more of an X fan, didn't bother playing through X4 as him when I first got the collection.

So I decided to sit down this weekend and finally get it done. I'll always say that playing as Zero is a bigger challenge. Instead of safely blasting everything from a distance, you definitely need to learn boss patterns, get an attack in, and get away a lot more.

The boss rush and Sigma were definitely the hardest parts for me, but after spending some lives re-learning Sigma's patterns, I was able to get through his first two forms without getting hit and then just tanked damage on the final form until I beat the game and finally wrapped up the platinum! 🏆

Happy #megamanmonday! I've been holding out on doing a post because my Iris kit was scheduled to come in the mail this week, and low and behold it came a couple days early! It's about time I have a new kit to assemble. 😁
