It was already beautiful; I just happened to take a picture.
Shooting since ‘09, mostly in auto ;)

Thus concludes my 2026 Season at @alkekvelodrome. As Usual, a huge thank you to all the staff, our officials, directors, friends, and ofcourse all the racers who keep this scene fun, competitive, and a pleasure to race with.

I was happy to come away with 🥈, 🥉, 🥉 for the weekend. 1x ride per week and a cold is not a good run-up to a race weekend (who woulda guessed), but we gave a swing and came away with good experiences to take into next year.

So what now? Couple small, fun events to close out the winter, much needed rest, and then back to the drawing board for next year. We're going for big things, come along for the ride! 😎

Missing another life… 📸

Hello photo world! It’s been a little since my last post on this page, and I wanted to pop in for a quick life update.

I’m currently 930 miles into a 2,652 mile journey from the Mexican border to Canada on the Pacific Crest Trail. I’m doing great, but I’m definitely missing what seems like another life. That’s not to mean I’m not grateful for everything I’ve encountered out here, but I can definitely feel my trigger finger twitching.

Coming on here to give that life update, and ask a favor from all the friends and connections I’ve made. I quit my job and stepped away from photography to hike this trail only planning to reach the Oregon border, or 1,700 miles. I’ve come to the conclusion that I would love to finish out this trail. I understand that a majority of you are saving or spending loads of cash on cameras/gear or other life moments. Hiking this trail can be quite expensive, and I’m trying my best at the moment to run it cheaper, but donations would help a ton to boost my mileage out here! If you’re able to donate to support that would be amazing. I’m posting updates (and some photography) to my personal page @alex_harkey16 if you would like to see how the journey is going.

If you have any questions on the journey, or would like to chat photography (I’ve been missing that too), DM me on here or my personal page.

Miss y’all, and happy shooting.

Saturday’s FC Tulsa Arts District Criterium at @tulsa_tough

Even though I finished P40 in a very strong Men’s 1/2 field of over 120+ riders, this was by far my best day of racing all weekend. Unfortunately, my chain came off with three laps to go and set me back from what was shaping up to be a top-15 finish.

These photos are about more than just racing. The people you meet through cycling and the relationships you build are what make this sport so powerful to be a part of. The connections and friendships that come from it are truly something special.

That’s what keeps me coming back.

Good times at the Driveway Opener watching our friends race bikes with the smell of Grandpa’s glizzys sizzling on the grill. Wrapped the night up with a marg, munchies, and good company at La Holly (thanks @insta360 ).

It’s almost time for Austin’s favorite art & car show.
Manual Focus is bringing together work from all over the U.S. this year to include custom Porsches, art, and of course, incredible photography.

The auction is live, so find a piece and get ready to bid.
Can’t wait to see you out there.
