MDW23 THROWBACK
One of the fil rouges that connects all editions of Isola Design Festival is our particular focus on contemporary design works that embody traditional craft processes and innovative techniques.

This year this focus was more important than ever, leading Isola to decide to host a dedicated exhibit to that, Tools & Crafts, which has involved daily live performances conducted by the exhibitors.

We decided to benefit from our partnership with Skyglass to further convey our attention to craftsmanship to show visitors the long and attentive works behind the projects displayed in our exhibitions. Skyglass TV has been an amazing support for showing the story behind the projects to the public.

Merging an architectural aesthetic with the functionality of a furniture piece, @garabatfire has designed “The Archways Chair & Bench."

Garabatfire’s project expresses the studio’s inclination to play with objects' morphology and imagine shapes that challenge functionality.

Exactly one week ago, Isola held its last event of the year, the Isola Design Awards.
It was a beautiful conclusion for a year, 2022, that has brought us new and unexpected adventures.

This edition of the IDA has allowed us to expand our global community further, scouting and embracing new talents that will accompany us throughout the next year and beyond.
The award winners will indeed join us in the next Milan Design Week, displaying the projects that have been considered by the jury the most innovative, creative, and avant-garde proposals.

We want to thank our sponsor, @monkey47, for joining us again in this event. We’re very excited to create greater memories with them during Isola Design Festival 2023.

Stay tuned to discover what Isola and its community is up to for the new year!
