A few weekends!!

This is Ron and Sue, they own Love Divine Ministries. It’s an after school program for underprivileged kids in Dekalb County and they teach kids music.

In 2021, they wanted to build a concert hall on their property for parents to come watch recitals. They were effectively scammed. The “contractor” they hired completely destroyed their property. They got no permits for removing trees, installing a septic tank, and a new parking lot. All of which were done terribly and will have to be completely repaired. For example, they installed a septic tank and connected it to nothing. It’s now causing a massive sink hole on the property with no permits or plans to even find it underground.

The contractor also charged my clients over 60,000 dollars for materials that were never actually purchased. In total, my clients paid over 150,000 in payments for services only to have their property effectively put into a condemnation status.

After two years of litigation, we finally had our day in court today. With expert testimony about permitting and general contracting, testimony from Nik investigating her theft of the payment materials, and testimony from the clients themselves, we received a verdict of compensatory damages, punitive damages, and court costs for over $290,000.00.

What happened to them was absolutely criminal and we’re stoked that we could finally get some finality for them after years of their money being gone and their property in disrepair.

This is Austin.

Austin had a long on and off relationship with his ex wife and mother of two kids. It was tumultuous and toxic, with an ongoing custody battle.

Austin’s family owns multiple businesses, one is a repo and towing company. In August, his father’s company received a tip from another customer that a vehicle they were trying to track down was headed towards town. Through research, they knew the owner of the car had kids at the local middle school and tried to get their before pickup.

Austin’s brother hopped in the tow truck and called Austin and another employee to come meet up and follow behind him. We had evidence and proof of all of this.

Turns out, Austin’s ex-wife also worked at that school. She saw the company tow truck circle the parking lot and told her principle that she didn’t know why Austin would be there. The school resource officer then took a warrant out and charged him with stalking. From when he was arrested until this year, Austin didn’t see his two little girls.

Despite many tries from us to convince them, the State refused to dismiss the case. We demanded a speedy jury trial and got one. At trial, the alleged victim even admitted that she never even saw Austin himself there, just the company tow trucks. The waste of court resources on a case like this was embarrassing.

After the State presented their evidence to the jury, Austin was found NOT guilty on all charges and walked out a free man.

I will NEVER forget this moment.

On my wedding day, my favorite women took the time before I walked down the aisle to pray over me. Here’s what they prayed for:

✨My jitters - they prayed that I experience every emotion that comes with a wedding, but that I would be able to reset and refocus on the true purpose of the day (that I was committing to my best friend).

✨My husband - they prayed over Jesse and his role in our marriage. They asked he experience a peace and comfort he never had before, and that it be so prominent throughout the day (and it was).

✨My marriage - they prayed a blessing over our marriage, that the vows we’d speak that day would hold value and longevity in our lives. They prayed we would move mountains as a couple and keep our faith at the center.

✨My people - they prayed those in attendance and in the wedding party would be equipped and ready to uplift us, walk with us, and pour into us throughout our marriage.

Lastly they gave thanks for God’s goodness and grace, and for divinely bringing Jesse and I together through that goodness. I’m SO grateful I had these brilliant, strong women standing with me on the biggest day of my life, and walking with me now.

Nick hired me last week to take his case to trial after he was wrongfully accused of a crime. Today he walked out a free man after we got his case dismissed.
