In case we haven’t officially met… And seeing as it’s my birthday today, it feels like the perfect time to (re)introduce myself. I’m Greg Walsh. I’ve spent the last two decades building events, businesses, brands, and communities. Some have been incredible successes. Others have taught me lessons the hard way. Because here’s the truth about this industry… Events are hard. They’re risky. They’re unpredictable. And there are a hundred reasons why they shouldn’t work. But when they do, they have the power to bring people together, create opportunities, and leave a lasting impact. That’s why I started sharing what I’ve learnt. Not because I’ve got all the answers, but because I know how valuable it is to learn from someone who’s been through it before. So if you’re: • Building an event • Starting a business • Growing a brand • Or simply trying to turn an idea into something real… You’re in the right place. My goal is simple: to share honest lessons, practical insights, and everything I’ve learnt building businesses and events here in South Africa and beyond. We promised we’d take you behind the scenes… and today it all officially begins 🎪✨ The @luxurious_marble_circus has moved from concepts, character sketches and scripts into full production, and we’re finally bringing this world to life on set. What started as ideas is now unfolding in real time, building characters, capturing moments, and shaping the circus exactly as it was imagined. @grid_worldwide led the creation of the characters and overall concept direction, helping define the world we’re now stepping into on camera. @pantry_jhb brought the confectionery layer to life on set, keeping everything fuelled with treats, colour and that signature sense of indulgence. This is just the beginning, come along for the ride 🎭🍭🎠
