This August 29th, Poets for Palestine NYC will be at Starr Bar (@starrbarbk) for a night of poetry, music, and dancing as we raise funds to support families in Gaza. Hear from poets Migwi Mwangi, @gargreyle and a surprise Poet, while also hearing from musicians @sarahkhatami and @redseamoeses . Open mic sign ups will begin at 5pm on August 29th.

Stay throughout the night for DJ sets from @djxocrushclub, @sofialosada_ , and @_scoge_ + come play in “open decks” starting at 11! DM for open decks sign ups!

My coworker and friend @piercingsbygeorgelouis has been going through it. Not to get to much into the personals. George’s mom recently passed from cancer. Insurance has screwed him every way it can. So they are paying for everything out of pocket. Every little cent helps. I personally know that the goal they have it set to is being modest. They have been dealing with this for the last three weeks straight and getting the run around. He just wants to bury his mama. If you can afford it. Please donate even a dollar. If you can’t donate that’s totally fine. A share is free. That would mean the world to him.

had the most uplifting afternoon with @mango at their #CraftYourOwnStory event which is still going on! We had the absolute delight of meeting and getting a reading from the incredible @quinceelark 🔮 the MOST amazing matcha lattes from @lacabracoffee 🍵 and even got a personalized poem composed by the uber talented @greygoosenaround 💭 not to mention the styling session from @mfass and custom goodie bags 🧡
