Making this post has been a struggle because it forces to me to face the fact that the most meaningful and impactful experience I have ever had is coming to an end. Fish Camp is truly the best thing to ever happen to me and has shaped me into someone who Freshmen year me would hopefully be proud of. This org has given me people who I would be proud to call my best friends, the best memories of my life, and above all a family at A&M.

Camp Adams, thank you for showing me that A&M is different from every other college and letting me know it is a place that I can call home.

Camp Montemayor, thank you for creating an environment where for the first time in my life I felt like I could truly be myself. You gave me one of the most fun summers of my life and broke me out of my shell.

Camp Catalena, thank you for pushing me as a person and growing me as a leader. You gave me some of the most meaningful relationships in my life and taught me how to serve others.

Camp Skinner, there are not enough words to describe how much you mean to me and Blythe. Y’all are all we could have dreamed of and way more. You are what I’m proudest of in my life. You are my family and I love each and every one of you. Thank you for all the memories and hopefully many more to come. This song is the last song we listened to at the counselor meeting on the last night of camp. It means a lot to me and has stuck with me through all my years of fish camp. I can’t think of a more fitting camp to post this song with.

Session A, I still don’t know what I have to done to deserve such a caring group of friends. You were the peace in the chaos of camp and served as a cornerstone for me. Every one of you has grown me as a person and contributed to the success of my camp. If my camp is my family, y’all are my best friends.

Who am I kidding, we all know this is gonna be a longer caption. This has been one of the best summers of my life. Thank you Camp Skinner for giving me some of my best friends.

To my chairs, thank you for taking a chance on me and all my shenanigans. This camp started with your endless months of hard work and dedication and I hope you can see the fruits of your labor like I do.

To my fellow counselors, thank you letting me be my authentic self and loving me all the same. I can’t imagine this camp without a single one of you and I can’t wait for the memories to come.

To my wonderful partner @tatumhapes, thanks for putting up with me on a constant basis, and being there for me for the highs and the lows. You were a better partner than I could’ve ever asked for as a second year.

I don’t know if this is the end, but if it is, I wouldn’t want it any other way than with this group of people.

Dear Camp Skinner,

After my first year as a counselor, I never truly believed that I could feel the same way about a camp. I went into rev night super nervous and not knowing what to expect. As soon as I saw Cody and Garrett (shoutout fade) my nerves slowly went away. If you would have told me that night that by the end of the summer I would have met my best friends I don’t know if I would have believed you. The impact this camp has had on my life is one I will never forget and I will cherish forever. There really is no camp like camp skinner. From crying laughing at girls night to crying tears of joy on night two of camp, camp skinner was everything and more. Camp Skinner was pure joy and pure love.

To my perfect partner, I am so proud of you and how far you have come. Thank you for being patient with me lol and buying into this experience. I couldn’t have done it without you, you truly are so perfect to me.

To DG 2, man you guys are so funny. Thank you for being so open and so intentional. You guys were the best dg I could have asked for!

To my chairs, I am so grateful I was a happy little accident. You two have been my best friends through this all and you let me step up so much which I am so grateful for. You trusted me with so many things and im so thankful for that. We couldn’t have done it without you all and from the bottom of my heart thank you for being the chairs we all needed.

Camp Skinner what would I do without you! The biggest blessing and most life changing experience ever. You guys are the reason I love this org and are the reason I smile! Thank you for allowing me to be my authentic self and embracing my weirdness (shoutout Arby’s). There is no words I can use to express how much I love you guys. Thank you fish camp for blessing me once again.
