⚔️ Scottish Dave's ⚔️ Alright, let's talk about last Saturday night! When I found out I would be playing at the famous @scottishdavespub , I was pretty excited! What I can tell you is I've heard from so many bands that the place is amazing, and I will tell you IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT. @scottishdave1 is such a sweet man and a lovely host. Him, his lovely wife, and their staff were so kind to all of us and made us feel like a part of the family. There was singing, dancing, bands joining in on other band's sets (Even Dave joined me on a song!!), drinking, SWORDS, and overall great vibes in the air! I want to take a moment to personally thank @gartywood and @ctska for having me on the show. I haven't played a show in Connecticut since 2023, and Gary took a chance on a new solo artist. I am truly grateful to you, Gary, and I had such a fun time. Thank you so much, and I hope to work with you again soon! Now on to the other bands! Hate the World, I didn't get a chance to chat with you, but it was great to see a local Connecticut band tear the stage a part! Great job, guys! Voluntary Hazing.... you guys came in with a large group, and you took over that stage in such an amazing way! Harmonies in vocals and horns were absolutely killer! I am so honored to share the stage with you, and I truly hope we can do it again someday! (I may have to fly over to California next time 😉) Last but most definitely not least, my friends in the Skluttz! It has been a pleasure of mine to see you all grow into the stellar band that you have become! Such a great band with such a great sound! Seeing old friends like Lindsay and getting to catch up was so fun. I greatly hope to collaborate with yall in the future! Overall. The night was amazing! If you were not there... boy, oh boy, did you miss out. Make it up to us by keeping the scene alive and supporting your local musicians! Let's do it again sometime! #mrkyleplatt #ska #skamusic #scottishdavespub #supportlocal

The Region 2/3 Championship was a show of skill and strength as 12 competitors battled the smoke, rain, and wind. After 6 races over the weekend, Eric Jones in TeamWork came out victorious! His crew (of 2) must have had 3 hands each to keep the boat moving expertly, while Eric adjusted to the sometimes 20 degree wind shifts. In 2nd place was Magic skippered by Robin Durrschmidt and in 3rd place was Friendly Spirit skippered by Rick Conley. The rest of the fleet did an amazing job, with the boats in 3rd to 7th places only separated by 10 points! Another thing to note was how Team Girl Power, shown in their war paint, created some stiff competition out on the racecourse. Robin Durrschmidt pointed out how Team Girl Power was occasionally ahead of them, and they also had a tight finish with Tailgunner (5th place) and Sans Souci (7th place)! Congratulations to all and start getting excited for Nationals! #goensignsailing #pearsonensign #ensignclass #onedesign #sail
