Bracketball 2026-27 Top 100 CBB Players

#34: Boogie Fland (Florida, G | Jr.)

If it wasn’t already clear that these rankings are not solely based off of historical performance, Boogie’s ranking here at #34 should hammer that down. All things considered, he underperformed — pretty severely. With that being said, Golden wanted to bring him back and I’d say it’s pretty much consensus, at this point, that people think he’ll have a big bounce-back year.

After posting 14.5/3.2/5.1 on 37.9/34.0/83.3 splits at Arkansas his freshman year, Boogie put up 11.6/2.5/3.5 on 44.7/24.0/72.6 splits last year with the Gators. Downgrades in almost every category except his very poor Freshman FG%. I think Boogie really evens out in his Junior season and we see the best version of him yet, by a landslide.

Let’s look at some of Boogie’s season %iles vs. his last 10 games %iles:

EFG
Season — 49th %ile
L10 — 93rd %ile

Field Goal %
Season — 73rd %ile
L10 — 95th %ile

3P %
Season — 14th %ile
L10 — 84th %ile

TS %
Season — 50th %ile
L10 — 94th %ile

These are just offensive metrics as that’s really where he struggled most of the season. Defensively, he has some of the quickest hands in the country and carried a 93rd %ile DWS/40 + 98th %ile DRAPM. Fland is carrying some awesome and encouraging momentum into 2026-27.

He will absolutely be the X-Factor for the Gators, a team that doesn’t have much backcourt depth or scoring prowess.

Fland’s projected line for 2026-27:

15.4 PPG
2.7 RPG
5.5 APG

🏈THE SLAYDEN SNAP GAME OF THE WEEK🏈

The GAME OF THE WEEK takes us to THE SWAMP as the Florida Gators welcome the Ole Miss Rebels to Gainesville! 🍿

🐊FLORIDA comes into this game as one of the best offensive teams in the nation and will look to keep the momentum rolling through the first few weeks of the season. John Sumrall has the Gators off to a HOT start, and a win Saturday would keep Florida undefeated and continue building excitement in Gainesville.

🦈OLE MISS is one of the HOTTEST teams in the country right now and enters Gainesville looking for another MASSIVE win after taking down Lane Kiffin and the LSU Tigers last week. But can the Rebels end a LONG drought in The Swamp? Ole Miss hasn’t won in Gainesville since 2008, when the Rebels took down Tim Tebow and the eventual national champion Gators.

🔥SOMETHING HAS TO GIVE🔥

Florida wants to DEFEND THE SWAMP and keep its undefeated start alive. Ole Miss wants to prove last week was only the beginning and do something the Rebels haven’t done in Gainesville in 18 YEARS.

🍿GET YOUR POPCORN READY. THIS ONE COULD GET WILD.

The Sunshine State is LOADED with hoops talent heading into 2026–27. 🌴🏀

1. Florida 🐊
The clear-cut No. 1 team in the state entering 2026–27. Florida has established itself as a national powerhouse and enters the season with legitimate championship expectations. The Gators aren’t just trying to own Florida—they’re trying to be the best team in the country.

2. Miami 🙌
Miami continues to establish itself as one of the top programs in the state. The Hurricanes have the talent and roster to compete near the top of the ACC and should have NCAA Tournament expectations entering 2026–27.

3. Florida State 🍢
Florida State enters Year 2 under Luke Loucks looking to take another step forward. The Seminoles have the resources and talent to climb the ACC standings, making them one of the more intriguing teams in Florida this season.

4. UCF ⚔️
Playing in the Big 12 gives UCF one of the toughest schedules of any team in Florida. The Knights have shown they can compete at that level and enter 2026–27 looking to turn that experience into another postseason-caliber season.

5. South Florida 🤘
USF has become a program worth paying attention to. The Bulls have raised expectations in Tampa and enter 2026–27 with an opportunity to compete near the top of their conference and remain in the NCAA Tournament conversation.

The new/reworked deal will pay Golden $7.5 million starting this upcoming season and will increase by $300,000 annually, reaching $9 million in the final year of the deal.

Over his 4 seasons with Florida, Golden has posted a 103-41 record with 1 National Championship.

With Golden locked up for the next 6 seasons, how well do you think Florida will do during that time?

Preseason breakdowns are officially rolling in, and we’re starting right at the top with my #1 overall team.

The Florida Gators return an elite, dynamic core under Todd Golden, making them the clear-cut team to beat this season. 🐊🔥

Does Florida head to Detroit this season?!

Every year the same handful of teams soak up all the hype. And every year a few sleepers wreck everyone's brackets.

Remember last preseason? The Coaches Poll had Texas and Penn State up top, and both missed the Playoff. Penn State even fired James Franklin after a 3-3 start. Meanwhile Indiana went 16-0 and swept all 66 first-place votes in the final AP poll.

So don't sleep on these five. South Carolina, Louisville, Florida, Michigan, and Kentucky all have reasons to believe.

Which one do you think makes the biggest jump this year? Drop your pick below and tag someone who needs to see this.

The Gators were upset as a 1-seed in the 2nd round vs Iowa last year. The good news is that they return many key pieces that should slot them in at preseason number 1.

Boogie Fland serves as the primary ball handler, which should help him have a better season. He is able to get downhill and distribute to his teammates. Without Lee, Fland should have total control. Getting Denzel Aberdeen sets up a great reunion from the 2025 championship team. His eligibility isn’t for certain yet, but it is looking very likely that he will be able to suit up. He now has an increased role in the Gators system where he should find many open shots at all three levels. Aberdeen’s on-ball defense is a strength as well with his length.

Now on to the best frontcourt in the nation. The fact they got these three back is nothing short of amazing. Thomas Haugh may be the best player in the nation. He’s going to lead Florida and just really has a talent for scoring the basketball. Alex Condon is a very good rebounder and also gets points from the post. His shooting did take a big percentage hit last year, but the volume isn’t there to look too much into it. Rueben Chinyelu is a top center in the nation. He dominates the paint in an explosive manner, especially the boards. Good luck out rebounding this frontcourt.

Bringing back the reigning SEC Sixth-Man of the Year is always a good guy to have off the bench. He makes it rain from deep that can flip a game in an instant. CJ Ingram may be on the brink of a breakout season. He is strong on the wing and gets to the rim. Isaiah Brown will also see an increased role at the 2 or 3. He’s able to hit the 3 off-ball and can rack up points when needed. Domen Petrovic is a stretch 4 that really impressed in Slovenia. He plays inside-out and fits the frontcourt mold of attacking the glass. Arturas Butajevas is also a foreign import. He is a little more raw and has a good wingspan to help him out at center.

Florida has more National Championships than Miami and Florida State COMBINED since 2006.

The Gators also have more 11 win seasons than Miami and Florida State COMBINED during this timeframe.

It is CLEAR that the state of Florida is DOMINATED by the Gators.
