I hear a lot of “I want to do this and that” but they hardly ever follow through….
Never really committing to do what they want to do.

I want to go D-1 but don’t workout over all of off season
I want to get straight A’s but never study
I want a higher paying job but never taking the leap of faith
I want I want I want…. And that’s as far as they get just “wanting”

Then they come up with ALL the excuses… never being honest with themselves…

The risk/leap of faith is worth more than just “wanting”!!!
Believe me! I never say you can’t do it…. My response, it takes a lot of work than what you’re used to and that’s the hardest part.

Like driving 30min to get a lift in on a holiday… that’s the steps, that’s the risk, and that’s the effort!

On dynamic days, I try to preach every rep should be as fast as the first one…. For every single set and rep

This guy does it. I purposely left 2 sets of pin squats in this clip….you can’t tell which was the first and which was the last… or which order they’re in. That’s the level of intentionality that gets you places. Every single rep

BTW that was 315 on his back, after 2 plyo drills, 4 sets of power clean with a pause… and still lets 315 move fast. That is intentionality. No time wasted just speed. 😤

Dynamic days we move different.

Consistency will drive an outcome. If it’s consistently not doing anything, 0 is your result and nothing will be developed.

If you’re consistently getting in the gym and lifting you’ll get stronger.

If you’re consistent on developing athletic performance then that’s what will happen. These are clips from week 1, and we’re 3 weeks in.

Focused on dynamic movements at the quarter squat position in this phase and generating force from hips/glutes. Consistently training in sport and weightroom will get you places.

That’s where this dude is going and we’re just starting. He is not finished and we’re still being consistent.

Progressing through and being able to work 1on1 allows me to focus on growth areas. During this first phase, we are working on improving mobility in hips and thoracic area.

The warmups are heavy on those movements and same with cool down stretch. Introducing upper plyos in the phase, and making sure pitchers upper body feels good to progress through volume and intensity.

Outside the reasoning of workouts, this dude works frikin hard and will never show he’s struggling. I can talk about his accomplishments and what he’ll be doing after high school… but he works like he has something to prove.

More on that later, but Staystrong
