$💛💚🫏 all chips ~ no dip🫏💚💛 summer’s basically over and i realized i never posted anything outdoors! / that’s basically because it was either: raining, torturously hot, and/or our back of the house landscaping plans still haven’t truly gotten off the ground / also, this MCM 🏡, designed and built in 1966, sits right on a river {aka mosquito heaven!} / plus, i needed an excuse to show off my new to me HORACE THE DONKEY chip & dip set made by GAY FAD Studios back in the 1950s / i really had no idea it was this HUGE!! / so here we are, with Horace and some chips, surrounded by all vintage furniture and accessories {except for the umbrellas, yikes!} / Richard SCHULTZ designed his 1966 collection at the request of Florence KNOLL who wanted outdoor furniture that could withstand the corrosive Florida ocean air / and the result is outdoor furniture history / iconic: rectangular dining table, high & low side tables, dining chairs, sun chaise loungers with wheels, rocker chair, serving cart, sofa / powder coated cast aluminum components with synthetic mesh and outdoor belting and porcelain coated steel table tops / fabulous, circa 60s french-door wood-burning fireplace by MAJESTIC, in mustard ‘Inca Gold,’ all shiny in porcelain enamel / i’ve been collecting these pretty metal trays in various colors and shapes for many years now, made in the 1960s; most bases have their original labels ‘Moire Glaze, KYES, HAND MADE, PASADENA, CALIFORNIA’ / flowers from @wegmans / somewhere in Connecticut #midcenturymodern #vintage #mmmvintage #retrohauls #outdoor @wegmans @acolorstory @pomonaantiquemart @cityoperathriftshop @furnishgreen @housingworks @vintagethriftnyc @chelsea_flea @kevinlandersphotos @gayfadstudios @retrohauls$
