Happy 10 year anniversary to @gazeyoga , the owner @tweeyogi Wes & the wonderful teachers & community involved. I believe my first time walking into the studio was in early 2017 and I’m grateful to have this studio as a place to train & connect with my mind, body, and spirit. . Yoga has been a tool in my toolbox since 2004 👀, and although I never identified with the label of being a “yogi” the practice has served me so well in so many ways. One of the reasons why I think yoga has been such a valuable practice for me is because of the fact it’s never become a part of my identity. … This has allowed me to approach the discipline with “no strings attached”. I don’t try to compete with myself and “beat” what I previously have done in class. It allows me to accept how my body changes day to day, week to week, and season to season in my life. Whether I’m at my physically most “fit” or recovering from an injury/incident. Whether I’m contest lean at 160lbs or in an offseason at 180lbs … your body feels way different - but this practice allows me to gain awareness of those differences, how it feels, and simply accept where I’m at. . I believe yoga can serve everyone positively, somehow, someway … the same way I think everyone and anybody can benefit from “bodybuilding” practices and resistance training, regardless of goals. . I highly encourage bodybuilders give various yoga practices a shot if they haven’t already, and consider how this tool can make you a better competitive athlete. How it can improve your mobility, flexibility & strength. How it can highlight your weak points and shine light on imbalances throughout your kinetic chain. ⛓️‍💥 How it can improve your posing endurance, replace your boring fasted cardio, and allow you to improve in multiple fashions, simultaneously. . I’ll talk more about that in the future. . Nonetheless, super grateful for this space, studio, & the amazing instructors I’ve had the pleasure to learn from & practice this discipline with over the years. . Congrats Wes, Maryam, Sabrina, & everyone at Gaze . #anniversary #26and2 #ghoshyoga #tampa
