Day 8
Doubles medal ceremony, winding down, afterparty.
I loved how the organisers split the prize-giving into two parts, it can get pretty lengthy. This way, I felt there really was time to celebrate both races and then the end of a fantastic world championship, the biggest one yet.
Might make a separate post with all my party selfies, I don't know how that started but it was super fun, and nicely rounded off by a spontaneous swim at 2am : D
This was all so special, I'm taking away memories of so many lovely moments.

2026 ICF Canoe Ocean Racing World Championships.

Definitely one of my favourite places to race no matter the conditions. Overall, this competition taught me many lessons, and showed me where my room for improvement is moving forward.

However ,I’m incredibly grateful to have met so many new people and even more grateful to have spent a week with one of the best teams, including lots of people I have been training with this season.

As always, I’m very appreciative of the support and training given from @aquasportinternational and I’m looking forward to where this could go.

World Championships 2026 🌍✨

U23 World Champion again and 3rd overall female in the open category 🤍
So happy to have defended my title and come away with another podium at the World Champs!

It means a lot to achieve this at the biggest World Championships to date, against an incredibly strong female field that just keeps getting stronger.

A huge thank you to everyone who’s been part of the journey, especially the @nordickayakseurope family, @vaikobi , @precisionfandh and @orkapaddles for all the support.

A big thank you to @scooblark for teaming up and getting a top ten finish in the mixed SS2 !!

In the build up to the ICF Canoe Ocean Racing World Championships in just under 2 weeks time, we look back on those standout performances that put our members on the top step of the podium 🏆
📍Durban, South Africa 2025
Rosie Edwards, one of our international athletes delivered a fantastic paddle that earned her the gold medal in the u23 Women’s Division last year in Durban. Rosie will be in Spain to line up against the world’s bests, and show off her skill and strength that she is known for, coming off of a massive European Champs where she won the overall women’s as well as u23 title 💪🏼 Good luck Rosie, we are behind you all the way 🌹
