Partner Stephanie Almeter was recently featured on the Counsel Brew podcast hosted by Shereen ElDomeiri and Nicola Hobeiche. In this candid and compelling conversation, Stephanie reflects on the path that led her to become a litigator, the power of mentorship, and why building a career with staying power means playing the long game - both in and out of the courtroom.

From the emotional toll of criminal law to the lessons of business development (even when it feels too early to start), her insights are both practical and inspiring.

🎧 Listen in through the link in our bio to hear more about her journey - and maybe a few dreams of wine country, too.

Dreams to reality!
My 2024 dream that I did not achieve was launching my own Podcast. Jan 2025 The Yes..And Podcast launched. Today the 12th episode dropped and it’s my interview with the incredible @iamdonnaelliott AND then if that wasn’t enough. I was featured in an amazing Podcast called Counsel Brew. It’s hosted by 2 of my law school friends they’re brilliant, funny and dynamic. Talk about a dream. Talking to smart and funny women who are having a huge impact in this world AND we get to have fun AND we get to help and hopefully inspire others! I’ll share the links to both Podcasts in my stories. Go and check them out.

Ever feel like building relationships in the legal world is impossible, especially when you’re at a smaller firm and don’t have a built-in network?

You’re definitely not alone!

In this #powerhouselawyers podcast episode, I chat with @domeirilawyer and @gc_mama and together we dive into the real struggles of navigating networking when you’re new or solo, and how these 2 law school besties figured out the key to connecting in a room full of strangers.

Spoiler: Most of them are just as nervous as you are! 😅

🔑 Key Takeaways:

1️⃣ Don’t be afraid to say hello—chances are, people are happy to meet you!

2️⃣ Ask how you can get involved, what committees they’re on, and make connections.

3️⃣ Find allies at events—people who can introduce you around (shout out to the @dallasbarassoc amazing community for always making that possible! 🙌).

Whether you’re just starting out or looking to build deeper connections in your legal career, this conversation is for you. Comment PODCAST and I’ll send you the full episode

It was a great season playing JV for @jpiivolleyball, running a 5-1 all season as setter, and receiving the Heart of a Cardinal award - vb to the player who demonstrates a passion for the game and embodies the value, spirit, and tradition of @jpiihs
