Tank is on the comeback. after weeks and weeks and weeks, let’s finally able to determine that the stuff on the sand was dinos. I’ve been sending out weekly ICP tests and tracking my silicates. I’ve been dosing silicates to get them in check and the growth on the sand has subsided. just waiting for my final ICP test next week and then I will clean the back wall. The torches are doing amazing. This tank has been set up now for about six months and I did lose some meat corals still not sure if that was just residual stress from the transfer, downdraft of flow (which I now figured out), or something else bacterial. I don’t know if I’ll eventually replace them or just continue to grow my collection through more torches, goni, or elegance.

I love the look of full spectrum more these days. The tank is lit by 3 @ecotechmarine XR-30 G6 Blues and 2 @aquaillumination Blade Grows. The Grows really round out the heavy blue spectrum from the G6 blues.

My 100% dominant Acropora tank. The tank is most heavily focused on Staghorn Acropora. Hopefully by this time next year the tank should be all filled in.

A few thoughts regarding R. palustris TIE-1 and our observations of its growth under warm, marine conditions.

Azure damsels making babies. For a while I been watching the damsel kept eating the flesh out of this Acro under the branch and watch the slight decline of this corals in that area but couldn’t think why then today I saw one of them with the Ovipositor out and kept pushing the male back to that area so I checked and bam we have eggs. #acrokiller #spskeepers #marineaquarium
