Check out @wfmy2's story featuring Greensboro College sophomore Nevaeh Buchanan and the impact that Hurricane Helene had on her family and community.

Buchanan also met the late Greg Biffle, the former NASCAR driver who had a big hand in the relief efforts in Western North Carolina.

Very proud of you, @nevaehbuchanan07!

This weekend didn’t end how we wanted it to, but I still had a great time with my team at Ironbridge! Not too many clips from this tournament! Out of the four games we played this weekend, I also walked twice and got hit by a pitch (not shown).

1st clip: Offense- Double to left field
2nd clip: Defense- Groundout, 3rd to 1st
3rd clip: Defense-Groundout, 3rd to home getting the tag play at the plate
4th clip: Offense- advancing on a passed ball

I’ll be at the CNU camp next Sunday with my Tophand Storm Wade team!

Here are a few highlights from last weekend’s tournament with DTM Crushers in Williamsburg!

(Our gamechanger was not being streamed, so I pulled what clips I could from other team’s streams!)

1st video: Offense, Homerun to left field
2nd video: Offense, Ground-rule double to left field
3rd video: Defense, 3B

Can’t wait to be back on the field this weekend with Tophand Storm in the USA Labor Day Legends FP Classic in Richmond!🥎

ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT #1 — KENLY BROWN

For our first Alumni Spotlight, we have Kenly Brown! Kenly played for the Storm for 3 1/2 years. Her journey is unique because she started out as a manager and was asked to suit up and play in the Christmas tournament because of low numbers.

The following year, she went on to start several games throughout the season for the Storm and continued to have a major impact on the program in the years that followed. Kenly was also a standout pitcher for the Storm softball team.

Following her time at Southern Guilford, Kenly went on to play softball at Greensboro College, where she earned Second Team All-Conference honors as a freshman.

From Coach Tyson:

“Kenly was a special player to have around the program because of her work ethic and her consistent drive to get better and improve her game. She was a great teammate on and off the court who could always be counted on.”

Kenly, keep making Storm Nation proud! ⛈️

After a lot of prayer, I’m so blessed to announce that I will be continuing my academic and athletic journey at Greensboro College!

This decision was completely unexpected and definitely not something I ever thought I would be announcing at this point in my journey. Transferring wasn’t an easy decision, but I truly believe He closed one door and opened another for a reason.

I’m so thankful for every lesson, every person, and every experience that brought me to this moment. Through all the uncertainty, God reminded me to trust His timing even when I couldn’t see the bigger picture.

God’s plan is always greater!
