ALTER_NATIVA presenta

Burning Down The House
Liberamente ispirato all'opera dell'artista e attivista statunitense David Wojnarowicz.

The President of Senegal inaugurated yesterday the Captain Mbaye Diagne Memorial in Dakar. Captain Mbaye Diagne (1958-1994) gave his life to rescue over 1000 people in Rwanda during the 1994 genocide. I was the founder and, for 10 years, the Secretary-General of the Association of Captain Mbaye Diagne for the Culture of Peace, that played a key role in promoting the Captain's recognition and his legacy in Senegal and abroad. A success story and a well-deserved recognition for this true hero, this Righteous, whose example should inspire us all in our very sad times of new criminal wars and horrible crimes against humanity

A Quiet Dusk (2023)
Acrylic and acrylic markers on canvas 70x50
I did this painting last December to express a feeling of peaceful and affectionate harmony and well-being for all individuals and their little or big families.
This is how I wish all of you to feel in this 2024.
I'm doing many new paintings, and I will share them soon on this page. EMA

Wonderful event last night at Talk C.E.C in Brussels, I presented 12 prints from my art series called 'Radioactive Beasts' and 'Happy Beasts' that are part of the 'Promemoria project: A Musical Illustrated Fairy Tale Against the War for Children and Grown-ups', using my words and images, and the original music by the Belgian composer Dimitri Arnauts, performed by the Etesiane Orchestra directed by Gabriel Hollander. Over 200 people attended the concert of Etesiane with music by Arnauts (Promemoria ouverture), Beethoven, and Stadtfelt in the wonderful Art Nouveau space of Talk C.E.C

Today in Naples, I delivered my painting dedicated to Mario Paciolla, a Neapolitan United Nations volunteer who lost his life in mysterious circumstances in 2020, while serving the UN mission in Colombia, to his parents Anna and Giuseppe, as my way to support their struggle for truth and justice
