Hi! My name is Geeraii, also known as Geeraii the Deaf Diva. I’m 28 and from Sheffield, England🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿. I’m a Deaf R&B singer-songwriter, performer and mum. ❤️
I was born with Pierre Robin syndrome, Stickler syndrome and a cleft palate, which was repaired when I was a baby. I grew up Deaf, and although it hasn’t always been easy, I’ve learned to embrace my Deaf identity and use my experiences to inspire my music.
I created “Geeraii the Deaf Diva” to represent Deaf people and show that being Deaf doesn’t stop you from following your dreams. I’ve performed at the V&A, taken part in a national Deaf rave, been involved in a Sheffield documentary and had my music played on BBC 1Xtra.
I’m proud to be Deaf, proud to be from Sheffield, and proud of how far I’ve come. ❤️
