Surfers paradise.
.
I just rummaged through old photo albums and everytime I stumbled past a surf Pic a really fuzzy, warm and exciting feeling flooded my heart.
.
But why do I love this thing called surfing so much? I mean, I'm still stunningly bad at this sport, anxious if the waves are too high, the currents too strong, or the reef too sharp.
.
It's because I've spent so many months on surfboards already, travelled the world to find spots and got to know new cultures and new strangers that turned into friends through it! I've spent hours next to bonfires with people (strangers or friends), talking about the best waves and worst fears on the water and all the other experiences life offers.
I got to encounter my fears and master some of them, as the water can be calm and rough and is ever changing
Surfing and the sea taught me a lot about myself.
This lifestyle gave me peace and showed me how little I need to be happy. It's pure bliss. ☀️🌊
