Pink Polka Dot Chair, France.

I’m testing out the new Premium Series (v2) Lamp Black acrylic by @gelelf_official specifically for laser image transfer.

They say it has a “richly pigmented, transfer-optimized formula designed specifically for gel plate printmaking and mixed media art.”

As with any acrylic paint used for laser image transfer on the gelplate, you do have to get used to the amount of paint that is perfect for that brand. I was a bit ‘heavy-handed’ in my first couple of tests which I think has as much to do with applying it with a palette knife out of a tub rather than squeezing from a tube.

I could not have been happier with the quality of this transfer! The blacks were significantly deeper and absolutely captured all the fine details in my photo.

I used:
> Gelelf 8”x10” gelplate
> Gelelf Premium Series (v2) Lamp Black acrylic
> Gelelf 6” brayer
> High contrast B&W edit photo - laser printed
> Amsterdam, Jo Sonja and Atelier acrylic paints for reverse painting
> Liquitex Matte Gel - for protecting transfer and as pick up layer
> Carabelle Studio Stencil

Final Note: it was hard to get off my hands once it dried so be aware of that.
