If you're ever in Penrith for work (because honestly, what other reason would you be in Penrith? 😂), you HAVE to try GellaFrenda! Muslim-owned and fully halaal 🙌

This is authentic, casual Italian at its best, and they're famous for their 100 LAYER LASAGNE 😍 I get it every single time. Did I count the layers? No 😅 But it absolutely lives up to the hype! Crispy, golden edges, a soft melt-in-your-mouth middle, rich slow-cooked bolognese layered with creamy béchamel, all topped with bubbling cheese and sitting in a pool of rich Napoli sauce. Every bite is pure comfort 🤤

Every starter I've tried here has been exceptional. This time I went for the SILLY CRISPS: sea salt potato crisps loaded with creamy burrata, pistachio & basil pesto, green olives and a drizzle of hot honey. Sweet, salty, crunchy, creamy... yes please! 🔥

💡 M family tip: portions are GENEROUS, so order a few dishes and share!

The vibe? Cosy and casual, with fairy lights and hanging plants outside. It's the perfect spot to enjoy good, wholesome food 🌿✨

Gella frenda in Penrith 📍 As you can see ordered the pasta pizza and Caesar and it was just Okay. The vibes were nice and the pasta sauce was really good. However the pepperoni on the pizza was a bit too hard where you couldn’t even bite it without the whole thing coming off. Do I think it’s worth the hour drive again? I don’t think so. 🫒🌶️😘

@gellafrenda has to be one of Penrith’s most unique Italian restaurants right now 🍕

Where else can you order an Adults Happy Meal with a 100-layer lasagna? 🤯 My favourite dish had to be the slow-cooked beef cheeks. They were unbelievably tender, rich and fulllllll of flavour! These will be available from Wednesday 🍝

Our admin team had the pleasure of hearing from Phil Hallani on Friday for our CPD session.

Owner of some of Penrith & Western Sydney’s most loved hospitality venues including Percy Plunkett, Gellafrenda, Chunk, Fish Fish & Sonny’s, Phil shared some incredible insights around customer service, culture, operations, and the importance of going the extra 1% for both staff and customers.

Stopped into Chunk Dessert Bar for a sweet treat after a Kmart run. It’s right next to Gellafrenda.
These guys let you choose brownies or cookies, then top it up with ice cream and toppings. I got Biscoff and my friend got a Bueno Sundae. It was delicious! Can recommend!!
